Wet Desert took to the studio in January 2015 to record their debut, 5 track self-tiled EP. On the day of its release party – a total sell-out event -   first single ‘Roses Sting’ was already receiving local radio airplay on BBC Introducing Hereford and Worcester. 

Soon after, ‘Roses Sting’ was being played on a daily basis as track of the week and even went on to achieve national airplay on all 39 BBC local radio stations. The BBC didn’t lose interest there either, and before long Wet Desert were invited to lay down 4 original tracks, live and in session with Andrew Marston’s Introducing team, who described their sound as ‘thunderingly good indie-rock’. 

Then came ‘What’s In A Heart’, their latest endeavour, written and completed on the day of recording with the BBC. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute, hey?! The track blends classic rock riffs, funky rhythms and soulful vocal melodies to produce an outstanding backdrop to the essence of the Wet Desert sound. 

What’s next? The band look forward to a summer of writing new material, playing a host of killer shows and seeking out yet more opportunities to keep moving forward!
