Hatched in the Sleepy town of Ballinlough, Co.Roscommon, We Town Criers are a visceral quartet hell bent on bucking the Irish rock trend! Intense live shows, contagious vocal melodies and guitars played the way they should be, honest and loud. We Town Criers believe in sounding big! 

Writing and recording since 2006, We Town Criers' consists of Dermot Kelly on vocals and guitar, Micheál Sheil on lead guitar, Pat Nolan on bass and Ronan Connaughton on drums.
We Town Criers released their debut EP, Wake Up, with involvement from Dave Hingerty (The Frames) and Ken Mc Hugh (Autamata), in 2011 to critical acclaim. Also in 2011 We Town Criers formed a co-operative label called Coldroom Records in coalition with two other groups, Ka Tet and Race the Flux, to help promote original music from the West of Ireland.

In the twilight of 2012 We Town Criers returned to their studio in Roscommon to record their highly anticipated debut album, Swing Beast, which is set for release in September 2013.
We Town Criers will be appearing at Other Voices Derry, Vantastival, Belly Bang, Oriel Live and Sunflowerfest 2013, along with a Swing Beast tour in the winter of 2013.
