Picking up where Triform left off, the prodigiously talented Matthias turns in one of his most impressive works to date with a four track EP showcasing the breadth of his sound.

The mercurial Placid is one of his most original works. An intricate journey that builds to the orchestral backdrop being shattered by a bold acidic lead.

While the title track is a headier affair, Liturgic Acid Year is aimed squarely at the dancefloor; a rolling acid groove awash with lush pads punctuated by jittery percussive fills.

On the B side, the otherworldly Enon takes things into darker territory; with sophisticated arps materializing over a metronomic bassline.

Finally, the unique Omega Doom makes up the EP. A study in contrast, it sees 90’s stabs and frenetic toms juxtaposed against apocalyptic strings - giving the track a distinct prog sensibility.

This summer will see the launch of Anthea’s latest brainchild, PILLZ, the diverse label will sit comfortably as a sub label of the prolific Partisan outfit, with the A&R being carefully curated by herself, and long time friend Velasco hailing from NYC now Berlin based. The label is aiming to be a safe haven for straight edge, and innovative sounds from a selection of rising talent, and simultaneously friends and artists they have met along the way on their journey together. 
Inaugurating the release is the talented Francesco Carvetta, his debut outing is an impressive showcase of his gritty, and discerning sound, but always maintains a danceable approach. Four chunky and distinctive cuts spread across the vinyl EP. 	
 
Diving in at the deepest of ends is the sub heavy “”Part Of The Call” a chugging bass line remains at the forefront of the tracks as spaced out synths simmer around the heart of the track. Next up Carvetta takes us on a journey of “Midnight Travel”, otherworldly voices converse with the emphatic structure of the track, steering you safely into the small hours of the night. A stripped back trip of dusty nostalgia with the B1, “Minds Power”, blurring the lines between trance and techno infused with a touch of modern day class, nodding towards the after party moments. Last but not least is “Petra”, crammed with raw tenacity, layered with dark and serious tones breathing life into the enormous bass arrangement. 

Deep and mysterious energy kicks off what is set to become an integral label in the coming years, sitting comfortably as the sub-label of the prolific Partisan imprint. PILLZ is officially born!

For our 4th venture, AGT Records presents the cosmic sounds of George T and his solar-sound-system explorations. Responsible for a multitude of club ready releases in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, you can find George Thomson’s aliases in the catalogues of legendary labels such as NRK Sound Division, Stickman Records and Glasgow Underground. Thomson’s sound is a warped fusion of disco, electro and tech-house, splicing together influences from the US tribal and UK tech house scenes that were prevalent in that golden era of electronic dance music. 

This is on display with ‘Some Lunar Pursuits’, as across the EP you find driving, jet-fuelled basslines that lift the tracks off the ground, while ‘Baby’ and ‘Silver’ throw about snappy percussion and dubby, reverb-drenched vocals that bring you back down to Earth and back onto the dancefloor. ‘Bass Chase’ provides a stripped-back bass heavy weapon to switch up the vibe, and title track ‘Lunar Pursuits’ is made for the afters as nostalgic synth lines float around alien house stabs, sending you back into the skies and beyond.

AGT Records is putting this one back into the stratosphere, all in good time.

For their first release of 2023, AGT Records is cruising in straight from the West Coast. 

E.T.I. were behind a string of releases in the 90’s and early 2000’s that were part of the new wave of the iconic San Fran sound. The ‘Lookout’ EP, released on their own Oboro Records in 1999, ticks all the boxes of that defining era. 

On this EP, breezy breaks and dubby basslines roll alongside funk infused samples, throwing some signature shuffle onto any dance floor.

With decent copies going for £150+ online, AGT Records is happy to bring this one back onto the shelves and keep an eye on some more stuff from Oboro in the pipeline - all in good time.
