I’m staying at grandma and grandpa’s house this week
I do it every year when summer has peaked
They bought a spice cake in preparation for me

Got a cool calico cat called Mandy
And bird feeders feeding lots of birds in tandem
They let me go through everything in the pantry
Did I mention they have Werthers original hard candy?

They let me stay up until 9:45
I can watch any kind of cartoons that I like
Just as long as I don’t go past channel 35
and not too close to the tv cuz it’s bad for my eyes
Food network was on somehow I found it bitchin’
Grandma said “no sweat, follow me to the kitchen”
We mad a pot pie like the one on the TV
I was running in place, she’s like “ you gotta go peepee?”
It blew my tiny mind, how did grandma know?
I said “yes where’s the bathroom? I’m bout to explode!”
she said “you know where it is, down the hall third door
now go grandson and hit the commode”

Wednesday morning , woke up, had ice cream for breakfast
Grandma asked if I want seconds and I said “ heck yes”
She gave another scoop in my bowl with a smile
I hope my parents die so I can stay here for awhile.
