From cult local beginnings on the Berlin circuit, Rødhåd is now very much part of the global DJ highway. What initially turned heads was his ability to hold down long and hypnotic sets of loopy, moody house and techno all masterfully mixed in immersive ways. His productions, too, mixed sparse ambient designs with rolling techno grooves on labels like Dystopian and Token, and just this month he put out his debut album, Anxious. It’s a filmic meditation on beautifully bleak and eerie sounds and is another reason we love the man after he turned in a memorable closing set on our UFO stage at this year’s Dekmantel Festival. 

Over a ninety minute live mix recorded recently, he gets more energised with plenty of hurried techno and urgent synth lines all tightly weaving round each other. It’s a high pressure and enchantingly linear set that touches on Millsian space vibes, industrialism and unhinged apocalypse music in one smoothly mixed and sequenced session that will leave you out of breath.

This mix was recorded live from Reaktor's Katharsis event in 2017.  For those that don't know, Katharsis happens once a year and is dedicated to the faster, harder and more industrial side of techno.  This was my entire 3 hour set from that night.

Over the last few years we have built a steady relationship doing events together and sharing our passion for this music.  We are teaming up once again for ADE 2018 and releasing this mix as a thank you to all our followers and supporters.

"Chupacabras is an underground recording artist and dj. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, he also spent many years in Barcelona and New York. He currently resides in South London, UK.
Although he has been involved in electronic music for many years working as a dj, producer and promoting parties he remains under the radar. Having released only a handful of tracks on labels Basement Floor, Go Finger, Tutamen, Aperitif de la Mort, Analogue Texture and L.I.E.S.
He has always leaned towards a grittier side of music coming out of the Hague, Detroit, Chicago and New York especially. He plans on launching a new vinyl label in 2021 with some secret collaborations lined up. Also a few more tracks will trickle out on some new compilations before more solo EP's for next year."

In this mix he just wanted to put some denser and more hypnotic sounds together and play around with the frequencies a bit. Some of the material is quite new and some much older.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ ZADIG

Zadig gets into the rave scene in the 90s. He makes his place rapidly into this growing community and stands out as an unavoidable figure of the Norman scene. But five years of mixing Indus, Hardcore or Acid music finally gave him an oppressive sense of being closed in. 
Moreover, he no longer identifies with this environment and decides to turn to Techno, a much more basic but also wider style of music. Highly influenced by Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, Surgeon or the labels Synewave, Lost or Tresor, Sylvain is at a turning point in his career. He then moves to Paris and holds various odd jobs. 
Thanks to these encounters and the experience he has gained, Zadig then starts Construct Re-Form, a label on a human scale which was initially created to release his own productions. Construct Re-Form almost immediately welcomes 3 talented DJs known as Antigone, Voiski and Birth of Frequency. Zadig then becomes an astute label manager who provides technical advice and, perhaps most importantly, human support to his three protégés. Considering the recent results of the label and its growing recognition, this formula works wonders.
