Originally a chart-topping hit from Duran Duran's self-titled 1993 album, "Ordinary World" has been transformed by Wágner's unique style, bringing a fresh perspective to this beloved classic.

In collaboration with multi-instrumentalist and producer Mauricio Mirapalheta, I've been busy in the studio, working on several original songs that will be part of 'It's Only Just Begun.' The first two singles from the forthcoming album are "Guiding Me To The Edge" and "Castaway." They are out now and available everywhere while we finish production on "Call Out My Name."

I'm Wágner, born and bred in New York City, and I made my mark as a recording artist as far back as the mid-eighties as a new wave solo artist. I co-founded Nerve with Jeff Almeyda in the nineties after taking the lead singer/frontman role in various NYC rock bands. Jeff was known for his massive sound and excellent execution on the drums, and my vocal style has been called impactful and dynamic, distinguishing me from other vocalists of the era. My musical journey kicked off when I was just 15, recording two demos, "Dust" and "Visions of You." These tracks quickly evolved into a 7" single that I distributed.

In 1986, inspired by the New Romantics and the New Wave movement, I breathed new life into these demos for my debut EP, A Way of Life. This EP also featured "The Third Wave of Sorrow" and a dance club remix. Rob "Bung" Bengston, a remarkable producer and engineer, worked on this EP at The Workshoppe Recording Studios. This studio, known for its association with Cy Curnin of The Fixx and housing Blondie's "Betrok Tapes," gained further acclaim when Victor Loud, the famed drummer for Billy Idol, collaborated with me on the 12”, adding his expertise on drums and percussion.

Novus Records launched my debut EP and got nationwide distribution through Important Record Distributors, which later became Relativity Entertainment Distribution (RED) in the 1990s and eventually part of Sony/RED Distribution.

After nearly three decades away from the music scene, I've re-emerged in Orlando, Florida, as a solo artist. In 2023, I teamed up with Mauricio Mirapalheta, a talented multi-instrumentalist with a background in metal and punk. Mauricio is my exclusive music partner, instrumentalist, and producer, adding his significant skills to this thrilling new chapter of my career.
