Label boss Aitor Ronda hits back with another amazing EP. A 3 tracks pack where you can feel his old school roots through those classic stabs , awesome grooves , sweet rhythms  and  warm vocal touches .  Another excellent work of the Spanish wizard, with a unique style and great energy. ´Pounding Roses´ is a  call of help. Also a way of complaining that it's a shame that so long ago we have resigned ourselves to everything, including defend what allows us to be alive. We confirm everything even we know is not right.  We have been mistreating our planet for decades, destroying every single beautiful thing on it.  We  are consuming the world resources very fast and with no sense at all. Pretty worrying future for humanity if we don’t change. The consumerism model is wrong. What we have became as society and how affects to Nature is shameless. Do we really need all what we believe we need ? This current system does kill the environment where we expect our children to live. And every year is going to be worst.  If nature dies , we die.  Stop hurting Mother Earth must be our priority right now.

Another selection of up-and-coming talent is assembled for the Street Tracks Imprint series.  In this 16th instalment, a broad and eclectic range of electronic dance goodies are offered up by seven artists, all impressing with their own takes on the house and techno genres.

Future club bombs with a vocal twist are delivered by Sokotta featuring Melly Ooh, Sonickraft and Tone Troy, whilst Buried Notes delve into leftfield territory with the dubby and shuffling ‘Faith In Me’.

A pair of deep and tribal house tracks are served up by Dario and FALLA respectively, whilst Des Moda wraps up another bustling Imprint EP with the swirling melodies of ‘Atmosphere’.

Great Stuff proudly presents volume eight of it’s “To The Underground” series. The series features solely exclusive tracks. Hand picked with only the dance floor in mind. Tracks that will work crowds and elevate dj sets. 

To The Underground Vol.8 gets under way with Cristian Viviano’s “Dosko & Back To The Roots“. Two deep & raw Techno bombs, both feature gut-wrenching sub frequencies, which were built to deliver full-on energy. Deep, pitched male vocals and the surging grooves are keeping things swinging and jacking.

Up next is Chay & Dead Space’s gloomy “Feel”. This prime time monster consists of the perfect club night essentials: Pitched sleazy vocals, a barking bassline and drilling high powered chords.  

Italy’s up and coming producer Qubiko shakes things up with a big pile of funk and fun. Comforting pads, warm chords and a rumbling, deep tech-house groove are the solid foundation for “Lawrat”.

Precise piano chords & out of space frequencies glide a long a tight knit net of crisp hi-hats, while the rocky bassdrum brings the right amount of bounce. Mike Newman also manages to playfully inject a mellow summer vibe into his “Regression” composition.

The specific hallmark of Pagano’s “Penetralia” is its thick, straight forward groove and huge bassline that supports the haunting pads and effects in the most modish way. Full on peak time material!

Vozmediano is closing off this fine collection of top grade electronic music. His “Inside” track is all about the distinguishing and extremely intense Techno groove. Synth patterns lead the way through effect-soaked percussion sounds and warped builds.

Nick Curly brings his latest Truesoul release to the table – a pumping, rolling two track EP. The EP holds heavy drums, deep synths and many tinkering high hats. The effortless groove in the tracks captures a real feel for what Nick is capable of. Each beat is chunky, groovy and works in a harmonious juxtaposition with the melodies Nick creates. ‘Helter Skelter’ is a real belter!

Back for his third release on Formatik Records is Alec Troniq, the Dresden-based producer who has contributed two massive singles to our catalogue and is now striking again with „Berzerk“, another big tune accompanied by a remix crafted by longtime electronic music staple Tobi Kramer.

Going in deep with the original version of „Berzerk“ we see Alec Troniq provide quite a bit of a mechanical punch alongside distinct sweeps and a proper, raw synth sequence for all ElectroDisco lovers alongside a vocal sample that takes us back into US-American history for sure. Rocket fuel for primetime dancefloors paired with historical and ecological awareness to a great effect!   

On a remix tip for „Berzerk“ is label mate Tobi Kramer who's presenting the harder, more aggressive and Techno-driven variety of his musical work with this one. Highly compressed bassdrums bring on a merciless stomp, are paired with additional rhythmic layers to provide a peaktime foundation for warm, overwhelming and all embracing sawtooth synths drifting off into slightly wobbly, ever warping territories  for a hefty climax.

Main premises for the 3rd chapter of Whack imprint ‘chronicles’ is about the assumption that the technologies and cultures of many ancient and more advanced civilizations were given to us –B.C.- by former astronauts or intelligent beings who were welcomed as gods.

Durtysoxxx’s music on “Space Gods” swells with mysterious vocals coated in layers of rich aural stabs and powerful techno-kicks. American producer - Funk'n Deep label owner, who also released on Phobiq or Noir- perfectly controls the euphoria and darkness of his energetic sound, not at all timorous for the dance floor. An original track designed for the most demanding clubbers all over the universe.

The release is completed by an extra-terrestrial rework by Whack’s head-honcho Aitor Ronda which dives into heavier yet smoother territory. The sonic environment of the track embodies this well, teetering on the edge of the laser sword that separates 90’s trance-induced groove and immortal dub-techno stabs delays and crispy hi-hats.

Aitor Ronda’s concrete roots can be traced back to 90’s techno. His personal commitment to the mutant and clubbing techno has been in force since 1996, when he began to play his first vinyl records. It was a few years later, in 2001, after releasing his first vinyl record along with Mark Williams, Ben Sims or Paul Mac … when Aitor decided to create his own Drakos (where he signed “Trilogy” alongside DJ Rush) and Upfront imprints too. Since then the Barcelona-based DJ/Producer has built a real solid music career -accumulates 20 years of experience- that culminates now with its new brand / project: WHACK. Important to remember at this point Aitor Ronda's mastery and skills both in the recording studio – in the middle of nowhere and where he spends hours and hours- and the DJ booth. Accurate techniques acquired throughout all these years playing his sounds at massive festivals and venues as Sónar, Monegros, Privilege, Space-Ibiza, Florida 135, Egg London and many more. In the same way as critically acclaimed published on record labels such as Terminal M (Monika Kruse’s label), Filth on Acid (Reinier Zonneveld´s label), Octopus (Sian’s label), or the mighty Tronic (Christian Smith´s label) without forgetting Pig&Dan’s own Elevate imprint, where he has been piling up a quite good bundle of absolute bangers and fantastic EPs. Including “Tweezer”, this track became TOP 1 of world techno best sellers in 2018. All this has consequences: a constant presence in all the techno / clubbing charts around the world, including essential platforms like Beatport. And getting massive support from the king Carl Cox, playing his productions around the planet. Quite an ‘orchestra director’ of the 21st Century. All this hectic life has led him to a constant evolution as a producer, DJ, label manager… and of course increased his passion for what he loves most. A true leader of a barrier-free techno sound, with a respectful but winning philosophy always.
