This is a song about the faithfulness of Jesus even in seasons of loss, wilderness, and pain. His presence is ever close and is even working on our behalf, even if we don’t feel like He is. If we move through this life believing he is with us when it’s hard and we feel like we can barely survive, in the end we will look back and see his hand on everything, moving in the background. He is the vine and we are the branches. No matter what, all of our good things flow from him. Our source of life.

This is my first time featuring another artist as a vocal performer. I loved the process of working with someone else in the studio, and being able to coach a younger artist in the recording process. This song means a lot to me. It’s a reminder that “religion” always pushes you into legalism and striving. But the Grace that Jesus offers us is constant, like a waterfall. It’s ever ending and completely free. All we have to do is accept his love and grace and enjoy the rest, peace and hope in him.
