I spend countless hours digging through music libraries listening to hundreds of songs and that moment I find a track that hits the soul makes the hours of searching worth it. This is a compelation of some of my favourite melodic music. I recently learnt about the idea of finding comfort in polarity - the state of having two opposite or contradictory tendencies, opinions, or aspects. This music is a reminder to me of life's beautiful polarities.

So here it is... Held on to this one for a little while, but I guess it was time to post it :)

I will never recover from all the magic of this weekend, you always remember your first as they say. And what an honour it was to play the legendary and eclectic Kiosk at Katerblau on a Sunday night and with so many great artists on the roster! I feel blessed <3 Great crowd, great vibes, great musical journey and lots of silliness! This is truly a place where connections between DJs and their audience are created and curated.

I have always loved this musical haven which could almost be compared to Peter Pan's hideout, and had something special in mind. In this close to 3h set, I got to explore a variety of different directions with my track selection. The story is set in 3 acts, embarking the spaceship, entering space, and discovering the unknown.

This Saturday, September 29, we present The Brooklyn Mirage 2018 closing event, The Cityfox Experience: Transcend, a three-stage festival with 8 live acts and 10 DJs, friends and favorites both old and new, playing the highest of quality house and techno (bit.ly/Cityfox929).

The Romanian born, Berlin-based, Sandrino has crafted this delightful Foxcast as we countdown.

Driven by his passion for house music in all forms, Sandrino is most drawn to its deeper and melodic slants. In 2010, he met and formed a self-named duo with Frankey, producing tracks that landed on Innervisions and Kompakt, before they launched their own imprint, Sum Over Histories. He first played for Cityfox in 2016, immediately becoming a favorite, and gracing our decks each year since.

In this Foxcast, Sandrino adeptly builds the energy towards the finale (no pun intended), kicking off the mix with spacey, almost ambient atmospheres and subdued percussions but steadily working its way up. The subtle but consistent rhythms and synths intertwine, until we eventually wonder when the journey ensnared to a trancelike state of introspection. Melodies pair with thick harmonies giving way to raw, stripped-down dance floor-centric tracks, peaking in the latter half with a surge of energy, beautifully demonstrating Sandrino’s range in a mere 60 minutes, before closing out with a splash of electropop - the things dreams are made of.

Sandrino’s set is not to be missed, as his Foxcast clearly indicates. Join us for our last dance in our summer home.

Dear Spirit Train Family,
After spending months of preparation for AfrikaBurn, the big day had come, I was gonna play my first gig on The Spirit Train. It was Monday evening and we had just finished three intense and fun days of building our own stage and camp. Not that many people had arrived yet but all my camp buddies showed up to support me. I needed that cause I was quite nervous in front of such a big crowd. The Spirit Train crew also boosted my confidence. After the first track I ended up in a flow and before I knew my set was over. So many dancing burners I saw, it was beautiful and I finally felt back home again. This was the start of what was going to be one of the best weeks of our lives.

I am rediscovering myself as a DJ. I have always had a deep passion for it having spent many years in the late 90s spinning on vinyl. It's only very recently that I have picked-up a new set of CDJs and re-teaching myself the art and gift that is DJing. Its so great to be sharing the music that I love with everybody.
