Multitude of Crickets-free sound sample

Here is my first, and possibly only, entry for this year's fun post-5090 event known as Rocktober...

Originally from Bob Dylan's second album, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, this song was one of his most famous, and was a very basic live studio recording.

Here I have altered it from that 6/8 piece to a soft dark laid back synth piece in 4/4

It's not perfect, but I enjoyed the change of pace.

Put simply, a "corpse piece" is where different people create different pieces that are put together to make a full thing out of.

Here are all of the people's bits together, that include mine...

Each person provides a piece that is around a minute each, which is based on the last ten seconds of the previous bit (that's all we get)...

However, here I got carried away and basically created three sections that ran one after the other.

I had so much fun!

Asleep, Awake, Away

A man from Cuba tells us about his gods. He is a priest -as everybody can be a priest- in his religion santeria.
You need to listen with good headphones. PC-speakers don't reproduce the low Gran Cassa that is underlying the language.

Slices of Life | I am a priest

Korean Lullaby is to a great part based on sounds from Gloria Gun's contribution to a "call for drones" (https://soundcloud.com/gloriaguns/fan-death) placed by the participatory arts project "Transcoding | what if?" (what-ifblog.net). I asked her if I might combine her sounds with material of my own to a new composition for a personalized installation for Gloria. You can see excerpts of the installation, if you follow this link: http://bit.ly/2axL4WW. Now, I have augmented the music into an intermezzo for the multimedia show "Slices of Life" on identity. You hear Gloria singing a beautiful Korean lullaby (and myself speaking).
