The 'main theme' of this piece started life as a sax riff for a song called 'Patterns in the West' (back when I did flute, sax & vocals).

The current piece was written in October/November 2020. The 'vocals' are contributions from friends. For those most part, these good people were given a single word beginning with 'dis'. The reasons for this are...... Well, you work it out.

The Dis Dance

Polyphonic Rock Music   Well, maybe a slow dance, at a push. Probably suitable for dancing in your head after a long day and a glass of wine.

01 Starlight Dripping Through Time

The untuned percussion is in 4/4 time, and the pitched instruments are in 7/8, giving a fairly extreme polyrhythm.
