Presented by Mick Radojkovic, also a presenter of The Tuckshop on Sydney community radio 2SER, the monthly show will give an Australian perspective on music made in France.

In this second episode, Mick has the pleasure of interviewing MYD
The artist signed on Ed Banger Records label (Justice, Phoenix, Cassius…) presents his first album Born A Loser.

MYD has been making music for more than a decade – firstly, as a founding member of the beloved collective Club Cheval, where he helped produce and remix for artists including Kanye West, Dua Lipa, Theophilus London, Brodinski and more.

But here, Myd has crafted an album completely alone – unabashedly showcasing his eccentric flair. Born A Loser is his coming-of-age record and a soundtrack to life’s strange delights: a drunken round of jazzercise, a lazy float in the kiddie pool, your weird uncle gyrating under disco lights.

Pour https://soundcloud.com/louisdauvergne l’art de manier la musique n’est pas récent. Après un double cursus jazz et classique qu’il intègre au conservatoire de Mâcon dès l’âge de 8 ans, Louis  débute la House à ses 18 ans. 

De ses productions se dégage ainsi une incroyable cohésion, nourrie de structures toujours plus complexes et maîtrisées. Ce perfectionniste signe notamment sur le premier « Various Artists » de Copie Blanche, avec son morceau « Starfish ». 

Les 4 morceaux et l’interlude de cet EP "Starfish Island" sont le reflet de la personnalité de Louis Dauvergne : originale, un brin bordélique mais toujours dans l’idée de découvrir le jazz-fusion de demain. Les jeux sur les percus et l’esprit funky qui se dégagent de l’ensemble confère à cet EP le charme d’une House portée sur les origines de la black music.

En attendant la sortie prévue fin Mars 2018, Louis a quand même pensé à nous. Un paquet caché se trouve à proximité du jardin Damia Island à Paris dans le coffre d’une “Comet”. Promis ce n’est pas de la bière…

One of Detroit’s brightest young house producer is Jaco Matthews, and his vinyl release on Rocksteady Disco is long overdue. “Lesson One” leads off the EP, a peak hour deep afro house track highlighting Jaco’s brilliant drum programming. “Snacks” follows, a bouncy and swinging composition with stuttering vocals and enough jack to make Robert Owens proud. On the flip is Jaco’s massive remix of Peter Croce’s “Revival”, full of moody pads, uplifting piano, driving 909, and a timeless message for our strange times.
