What Copyright Means to... Vindictus Viridian

Since I am not a lawyer and there are enough people out there writing great blogs about copyright laws and legislation, on my blog whatcopyright.wordpress.com I try to focus on what copyright means to the people who are meant to benefit from it, as well as the users who, because of what new technologies are capable of, have become more aware of copyright.

Therefore I am encouraging everyone who has some sort of interest in copyright to give me their opinion on it. It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand copyright. Tell me what you would like it to be.  How it affects your life. Try to tell me what copyright means to you – there’s no wrong answer to that. Or just ask a question.

There are two ways I would like you to do this.

First of all you can record your answers and send them to me via my Soundcould DropBox. The recording would be part of a blog post* – for example, I would give your statement some context or answer the question. Please try to keep the recording to under 1 minute – think about what you want to say before, keep it short and sweet.

Alternatively, you can also send an e-mail to bettinaduerr89 [at] yahoo.de with the subject line “What Copyright means to me”.

I’m encouraging you to send it in whatever language is your native tongue, since copyright is an international issue. If it is in any language other than English, German or Spanish (I might be able to understand French if you speak slowly), please send an English translation along with it.

Last but not least, include any contact details (website, Twitter, blog etc) and details about yourself (age, where you live, what you do) that you would like me to include when I post your recording/statement.
