I wrote this song waaaaaaayy back in January 2019 and performed an acoustic version in March, for a small audience. This means a lot to me and I feel that it is one of my more well written songs.

i have a question for you

I spend a lot of time thinking. Sometimes I don't even realize that I'm lost in thought. 

It's so mind-boggling to me that others have a different perception of reality. I really want to know how certain people see life, and sometimes I try to "fix" others if they're feeling low or depressed. 

It's hard for me to realize that I'm putting myself at risk if I do so.

I once saw a post where someone was commenting on how pretty a total stranger across the room was. They talked about wanting to approach them, but not wanting to come off creepy or strange. So, naturally, they decided to rant about this conflict online. I found this very interesting and it sparked the idea for this song. The speaker is head over heels for a stranger and because of this immediate state of mind, they start to question their sanity.

you look so pretty

This song is centered around the idea that someone who has nothing can do the most harm to others psychologically. They don't believe that their actions have consequences because they were never taught that they do. Additionally, they attract a large group of like-minded followers and complain to each other about their horrible situations. Then, they try to invite everyone else to their "birthday party" just so they are pitied and played as the victim.
