In a lecture for the Wheaton College Nineteenth Society titled “Islamic Eloquence, American Renaissance, and Muslim Influence amid the U.S. Nineteenth Century,” Dr. Jeffrey Einboden investigates connections between American literature and Islam, with particular attention to unexpected links with Wheaton College’s first family and a leading twentieth-century alumnus. 
Dr. Einboden is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and is Associate Professor in the English Department at Northern Illinois University.
