Kai Rodriguez debuts on Hottrax with two punchy cuts across his ‘Undaground’ EP. 

An imprint known for releasing quality material from established artists including East End Dubs and Christian Burkhardt, through to surging talents such as SOSA, Mason Collective and Wheats, Jamie Jones’ Hottrax continues to uncover new music from all corners of the house scene. Continuing their push for discovering fresh talent, December welcomes the addition of a new name as Northampton-based DJ/producer Kai Rodriguez prepares his biggest release to date with two rhythmic grooves across his ‘Undaground’ EP. 

Leading with rattling percussion, robust kicks and enticing vocal chants, ‘Undaground’ reveals an energetic opening production, while ‘POWR’ welcomes an up-front, no-nonsense production via snaking hats, distorted beats and pulsating basslines.

Fresh from their long-awaited Miami Music Week takeover at Space, the attention turns to the music as they welcome rising Turin-based duo YOUniverse for their first appearance on the label with 'Feels Right'.

Black Fancy makes his Hottrax debut this July with ‘M.M.M.’. 

A longstanding resident for Insane Event in his hometown of Parma, Black Fancy’s groovy rhythms have taken trips on labels such as Suara, Deeperfect and Whoyostro. For his next voyage, the Italian DJ and producer sets sail on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with his funky two-tracker ‘M.M.M.’. 

Pumping basslines, energetic stabs and playful rap samples fuel the driving lead track ‘M.M.M.’, before electronic bleeps, loopy lyrics and snaking percussion combine over vibrating low-ends in the zesty finale ‘No Stoppin’’.
