Downtempo relax-at-the-cafe style soft melodic breaks from 2005.  With attempted jazzy type improvisation.

Tried to focus on 'less is more', and clarity of singular ideas and melodies that don't compete for space.

Static

A little Drum and Bass idea from 2004.  Original intent to have acoustic flute + recorder playing the main melodies, sounds alright as is though.  Bit too much compression on the drums, sorry about the clipping!

Flute (unfinished)

Tend not to finish the 4/4 tracks!  The idea was a dreamy breakdown with melodic 'electrons' buzzing around a circuit board in all different directions.  The high hats in the breakdown were also a focus.  Built this track around that idea if that makes any sense :)  Definitely a track I plan to revisit and finish.

Ego Loss (unfinished)

Drum & Bass from 2003.  Just about the only track I have ever done exclusively in a minor key!  99% free of happy chords! ;)

Method

Cruisy prog house from 2003.  Don't know how it happened but this one has an 80's kinda adult movie soundtrack thing going on!  Something not quite right with the kick too. :-S

Breaks from 2005.  One of the last complete tracks I did.  Tough drums with uplifting melodies over the top.

I made quite a bit of electronic music around 1998-2005 - here is some of it.

Mostly made in Reason, all drum patterns home grown (i.e. no loops)

Finishing tracks / mastering not my strong point!

Been playing the Djembe (African Drumming) for the last several years, will get back into electronic music / production one of these days... :)
