Tripping on a world strewn with disposable straws,
just shouted 'bout the just out of reach jug. 
Pure fury at the phone on the floor-
can't pick it up, I can't pick it up. 

Frustration builds into a rage I can't contain, 
feels like it’s taking me over.
It drives me to the place of grief
into the pain that’s underneath, 
the work to heal the breach between 
what can and cannot be. 

Stripping back a self made up of menial tasks
volition ricochets off a silent wall.
Shock shudders into cold empty grasp
to see not touch, stagger and fall.

Review: gobscure 'you have already survived'

'Can We’ is the single from a new EP called 'Speak For Me Songs' the debut collaboration between singer Ben See and composer Emily Hall. The lyrics were written by Ben See and then honed and crafted into song form by Emily Hall. The process was collaborative and fluid as the words and songs found their shape. What’s emerged is a collection of six songs which sing to different aspects of the modern male experience.
