Sinchi & Friends 54 is London based Richard Baldwin aka @thesovietunion . We were first introduced to Rich's music by our friends No Strings Attached and the rest as they say is history. We fell in love with his track 'Anamnesis' and we were proud to release as the first on the @phantasm-records vinyl label featuring a special remix from In Flagranti and one from ourselves. Get to know the man behind it all below - 

1) Introduce yourself?

Hi I'm Rich... I’ve been fiddling around with music in some form or other as long as I can remember, and have always been fascinated by synthesizers and drum machines from a young age. I’ve made music in a meaningful fashion since I was a teenager. 

2) What have been your highlights from the last 12 months?

Being asked to release Anamnesis on the brand new Phantasm Records was a definite high. The original track was recorded some time ago so it’s strange how things work out. 

3) What do you have lined up for the coming year?

I’m working on a few things, mostly trying to utilize the analogue hardware I love so much. I’ve recently repaired an old Roland favourite, so will hopefully make my setup a little more permanent.

"Bufi is the solo project of Mateo González Bufi, a producer hailing from Mexico City responsible for the cold-synthwave project Theus Mago and for the Duro imprint. With a classical music background and an unconditional love for synthesizers and drum machines, Bufi has developed an eclectic sound that subtly combines the disco, house and techno’s pulsating essence with the texture and depth of synth-pop and minimal-wave. His music has taken him to tour extensively during the last years all over Europe, North and South America, while having enjoyed support from press giants such as Mixmag, Ransom Note, Deep House Amsterdam, among many others. Producers like Solomun, Dixon, Sasha, DJ Koze and Aeroplane have featured his music on their mixtapes and live appearances. Currently living in Mexico City."

Tony y Not’s rousing blends of House Music are as razor-sharp as her. She bounces between clean and upbeat rhythms to funky build-ups to dark synth disco. A DJ, producer and cosmic event planner, she whips up unapologetic musical cocktails geared to make you move – listen for yourself: Her latest EP ‘Imperfection’ on the Hamburg-based label tächno is quite intense.

With sonic influences taking off from her native Germany and evolving to the tune of her travels, Tony y Not fuses together a truly unique blend of tones. Her style dynamically embraces European dance music and multi-genre grooves inspired by her years in Brooklyn. Her passion for connecting with dance floors and love of intimate immersive spaces led to her co-founding of Front Left and involvement with BAE collective. Sprinkling NYC nightlife with effervescent evenings and providing a platform for female-identifying artists to craft spaces for all, it didn’t take long for Tony y Not to make a name for herself.

From parties and venues like Cityfox and Watergate to experiences like Burning Man, Tony y Not uses music as a tool to communicate what words cannot, empowering crowds to smile, look forward, and not take themselves too seriously.
