Its fair to say that in the hotly contested field of country tinged, equine themed underground club music this year has been all about Kate Stein & Lord Fascinators Horse House. With its galloping hypnotic house beat, pulsating synths and lonesome guitar twangs, it was always a clear favourite but even as clubs around the world are still echoing to frenzied chants of theres a horse in this house, Eskimo Recordings have introduced some competition with 3 new remixes courtesy of Fabrizio Mammarella, Hammer and Captain E. Leading the chasing pack is Italian DJ, producer and label boss Fabrizio Mammarella. With over two decades of releases under his belt on labels such as DFA, Permanent Vacation and his own Slow Motion Records, Fabrizio has solid form and saddles up to take us on the last horse to Trancentral, delivering a stunning remix that sees the tracks vocal refrain canter over killer club beats and a mesmerising synth riff. This is certainly no one horse rave though and coming up close on the inside is Belfast producer Hammer whose sabre sharp remix thunders along with a looping acid bass line and echoing percussion before it all dissolves into a blissful wash of warm pads evoking the wide open starry skies of Texas (or perhaps County Down) before the beat comes crashing back in to carry us over the line. Finally bringing up the rear but with the bit between his teeth is Eskimo Recordings own Captain E whose remix cracks the whip, upping the tempo and pairing its warehouse ready beats with rave stabs, a frisky bass line and just the occasional horse snort for good measure.

Biography
Having cut her teeth in the art world working in spatial design Kate Stein made her musical debut in 2021, her hypnotic take on house quickly seeing her make appearances on labels sick as Roam Recordings, Playground Records, TAU and Rotten City.
Lord Fascinator meanwhile began his musical career as the frontman for Australian rock band Children Collide. Since relocating to NY and moving behind the decks he's DJ'd and performed all over the world sharing stages with the likes of The Avalanches and Tame Impala, been remixed by Prins Thomas, collaborated with Simple Symmetry, scored Hollywood films and produced immersive dining experiences in Mexico.

After an unforgettable 2024 with the launch of our label, we're excited to kick off this new year for two great reasons :

First, MINITEL Media is celebrating its 5th anniversary, and we treated ourselves to a state-of-the-art Polaroid to capture memories from our upcoming label nights.Second, we're thrilled to welcome UK duo CLOSE PROXIMITY and the talented Frankfurt-based producer MARUWA to the label for our fourth EP release.

CLOSE PROXIMITY was formed in late 2024 by Frank Brady and Demack. Their mission ? Crafting distinctive progressive music blending Proto House, techno, and trance influences.
The two tracks we present here perfectly capture their unique sound.

"Pure Ascendance" is a tribute to the airy, contemplative, Balearic progressive vibes of the '90s. With a groovy bassline, delicate yet precise synths, mesmerizing vocals, and uplifting piano chords, it's the perfect ticket for takeoff.

"Acid is My DNA" keeps the journey going with a slightly trancier feel. Expect stunning harmonies elevated by a soaring synth arpeggio in the final section .Guaranteed to transport you to a beachfront festival at sunrise.

On remix duties, rising star MARUWA, known for her stellar EPs and remixes blending nostalgic elements from the '90s and early 2000s with a modern twist, delivers a hypnotic reinterpretation of Pure Ascendance.
Her version features a devastating groove, relentless percussion, and dub techno-inspired arrangements. It's an epic journey into old-school tribal progressive trance that will set any dancefloor ablaze. Drums Don't Stop !
