"The 58th release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital features a Colombian artist of growing global renown.  Juan Pablo Torrez continues his rise to prominence with a new EP titled "Two Souls Reconciliation", which includes a collaboration with his fellow countryman, Kamilo Sanclemente, and a remix from modern-day icon, Kastis Torrau.

Based in the central-southern city of Medellin, Juan Pablo Torrez has been a regular across the clubs of his Colombian homeland.  Sharing the stage with the industry's elite including Anthony Pappa and Erick Morillo, Torrez also curates the monthly "Clubsonica" podcast based on his successful record label of the same name.  A producer with over a decade's experience, Juan has seen his music grace the catalogs of Parquet, MNL, and Natura Viva, with an appearance on Perspectives alongside Kamilo Sanclemente back in October 2015.  Now making his solo debut, "Two Souls Reconciliation" is a strong, driving affair with layers of melodic intrigue found between grooved arpeggios and pulsating chord progressions.  Building to a denouement at the mid-point, the track settles back into an easy melodic and rhythmic framework that has found early support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren at ADE 2017.

Partner track "Anxiety" sees Juan joining forces again with Kamilo Sanclemente.  Bursting onto the underground dance scene in early 2016, Sanclemente's work has quickly shone like a beacon, lighting up Einmusika, J00F, and FSOE with his distinctive production credentials.  Reveling in its tropical percussive claves and woodblocks with offbeat hi-hats and thumping beats, "Anxiety" resonates with its powerful bassline before an uneasy melodic motif plays on the connotations inherent in the title.  The track has already found its way into the sets of Hernan Cattaneo, who included it during his landmark Forja performance in Cordoba last December.

Iconic artists of the caliber embodied by Lithuanian, Kastis Torrau, need little introduction.  Multiple residencies across the most acclaimed clubs of his homeland and releases on Last Night On Earth, Hope Recordings, and Click Records have cast a golden glow over his career.  Kastis was the winner of Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix competition back in 2011 alongside studio mates Donatello & Arnas D.  His remix of "Anxiety" is a typically impressive offering.  Capturing the essence of the original, a huge bass groove wraps itself round a ticking percussive cadence and strong beat.  Building effortlessly, melodic patterns emerge as they build to a rousing crescendo before creating new variations in the latter half, showcasing genuine skill and craft."

Beginning 2018 by remixing two of the industry's most revered talents in Nick Warren and Jerome Isma-Ae, Cid Inc now presents his first original project of the year. 'Abyss' is the hugely anticipated follow-up to the Finnish artist's chart topping progressive anthem 'Shifter'. A staple in the sets of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren all throughout 2017, it sat comfortably as one of the genre's best by year's end.

From stripped, punchy beginnings 'Abyss' retains the progressive techno ethos Cid Inc. was instrumental in creating almost a decade ago. Encased in a crisp rhythmic shell, warm bass swells and machine gun cadence drive the foundation. The storyboard evolves with delicate melodic lines and impassioned overlays, eventually melting down into a euphoric break. As the melodies blossom an intensely emotive crescendo is reached as a soulful wail summons a powerful final act.

The companion piece 'From Within' finds Cid Inc. exploring dreamier textures and wistful sonic tapestries. Binding rhythmic flow with distinctive stabs and hypnotic arps makes for a sleek, meditative first act. A perfect prelude of sorts, as tasteful chord
changes summon melancholic motifs and hopeful pads, building subtly as a smooth rush embodies warmth towards a purring finale.

Sitting comfortably in the present, 'Abyss' maintains that timeless flair which embodies Cid Inc's work. Two striking tracks for the impending spring season and no doubt a look ahead to more exceptional music from the Finnish artist.

PREMIERE: Matan Caspi & Ziger - Butterfly (Original Mix) [Outta Limits]

Cid Inc's Replug Records caps off a successful year by welcoming Dmitry Molosh back to the label for a new artist showcase. The Belarus native and progressive music favourite rounded out 2018 with his chart topping 'Detektor' EP for the Finnish imprint. 2019 has seen further successes, with EP's for Guy J's Armadillo Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music sitting as the highlights. Now fresh off a contribution to Nick Warren's Balance compilation, Dmitry lands back on Replug with 'Cascade'.

Firmly sitting amongst progressive music's elite, Dmitry continues to deliver some of the genre's most beloved tracks with 'Cascade' being the latest in a long line of gems. Fuelled by rhythm and groove; it's chunky foundation, driving percussion and buoyant rhythmic core form the backbone of this exhilarating journey. Panning effects and emerging atmopheres smoothly segue into the main break, shifting the narrative further into melodic territory. Sitting comfortably in an ethereal yet emotive space, the lead motif rises, resonating on a warm and inviting frequency, gently evolving across a foggy atmospheric backdrop, before a gentle rush sparks a thrilling final act.

The companion piece 'Step By Step' follows suit with an equally impressive display of rhythm and groove. Spacious and energetic, it's a creation built around rolling bass tones and vibrant chord stabs. Ethereal phrases and buzzing effects converge as the first act unfolds, while colourful vocal fragments shift energy into the break. Timely modulation adds drama and tension across the one minute interlude, ultimately reaching a swirling crescendo and perfectly setting up a powerful third act.

Dmitry's long standing relationship with Replug has spawned several of progressive music's finest moments over the last half decade. 'Cascade' once again follows suit and looks set to be one of the winter seasons most in demand releases.
