Berlin-based Argentinian electronic music composer, producer and live performer Alejandro Mosso has been an integral member of the XYZ family since the beginning. His minimal grooves, lush atmospheric touches and intricate sound design have entranced the label team and fans from day one. His tracks such as ‘Promenader’ and ‘Dreamsco’ will continue to stand out as emphatic and inimitable contributions to the past catalog.

Following on from a splendid performance at the XYZ ADE showcase in October, we are very happy to have him delivering the latest edition our recently launched ‘XYZ Tapes’ mix series. He has crafted a sixty minute session exclusively of his own XYZ releases for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!

Parker + Barrow (@weareparkerandbarrow) is a production and live performance duo comprised of Swedish native and former Forever Kid member, Joakim Bjarke, and Los Angeles born and bred video artist and former turntablist, Caity Croft.

The duo has played festivals such as Burning Man and EDC and held several residencies around LA. After spending over a year in the studio producing full-time, the duo has created several EP/LPs worth of music ready for release. In each of their original productions, the duo aims to conjure a specific moment - in time, place, texture, and/or feeling- and makes a point of not sticking to a specific genre in their effort to do so.

Art piece: Mechan 9 

Mechan 9 is the newest creation from Tyler FuQua Creations.  It is a giant fallen metal robot that is half-buried in the ground.  Over thirty five feet in diameter and six feet tall at his heart chamber, Mechan 9 is shrouded in mystery!  Decode the strange text on his body to reveal the secrets of not only his past, but of the universe as well.  Mechan 9 was built by an amazing crew and with the help of a Burning Man art grant in 2016 where it made its debut.

I have no words for the feeling that night at at Afrika Burn gave me. A deep gratitude overcame me when I realized what the dance floor had been evolving to during the set and a profund tribal feeling overcame me when I saw what is possible to create when people work together with a similar vision of creativity and love. The Spirit Train and Hauptbahnhof Crew are the people that brought me to AfrikaBurn for the first time last year, thank you millions of times for giving me that honor to perform again for you guys and the brilliant idea of connecting both sound systems together. I had again the best gig of my life (to me)at  the best party in the world I could ever have imagined.;) Thank you!!!
