After a slightly longer break, Niconé & Sascha Braemer are finally back on Stil vor Talent. Their ‚Stay feat. Limon’ EP instantly showcases that the wait has been worth it though. On the title track, the trio creates a fusion of romantic synth leads, sensuous vocals and areal strings. ‘Tell Me’, also featuring Limon, is no less epic, but aims straight for the peak time with the help of driving chords and a healthy dose of bass. Next to the two hot originals, the Spaniard Henry Saiz delivers a remix reminiscent of The Human League. A creaking bass-line, crystalline synths and a distant vox catapult you straight to the 80s. Alessandro Diga, a young talented dutch artist, delivers 3 solid techno tracks for the fifth release on the BergWacht record label. “Phaedra” starts with a great bassline and goes into a warm melodic techno track with a lot of emotions, dreamy synths and it goes along with a clear hihat. The track is able to be dreamy and not cheesy at the same time. “Sonora” is grounded on a rolling bassline and clear hi-hats as well, it goes over in nice effects with outstanding breaks, but it finds back to the starting rhythms. “Dahlia” the hidden B-2 track transmits a deep journey with melancholic feelings.

“Live Cuts” is a series of tracks we have been playing as part of our live set for the past couple of years.
These tracks were made exclusively to be played live. Since we started touring in 2012, we’ve always considered a live set as a work-in-progress, something in permanent motion, made "for the moment”, right there, right then. Each night is different and every gig takes us into unexpected directions. We always run away from the idea of making our live set just another “playlist” of the tracks that we officially released only to please the crowd. We wanted to take the risk to create something new and embark with people on a musical journey that was made just for them, just for that moment.

All throughout December, we’ve decided to share those exclusive tracks with you. As their name suggests, these are “Live Cuts”, they are unmastered and unreleased, recorded live. They might sound rough or undone but our live set remains an unfinished story ;)
