Emerging as their first release on Manual Music, But U marks a striking introduction to the label's timeless electronic music legacy. Featuring Rana Iravani's smooth, sensual vocals over a warm, mystique-scented sonic landscape, the track channels the spirit of classic deep house with modern flair.

Born in San Francisco and raised in Dubai, Rana's global upbringing and training in drama at NYU infused her artistry with storytelling and emotional depth. As a DJ, producer, singer, and songwriter based in New York, she brings cinematic nuance and musical sophistication to every project.

Little is publicly known yet about Janne Johannes, making this debut all the more intriguing. Together, Janne and Rana deliver a collaboration steeped in mystery, a synergy of subtle vocal phrasing and atmospheric arrangement.

Musically, But U unfurls with catchy piano motifs and string‑shot chords that evoke both vintage emotion and dancefloor energy. Based in Los Angeles, California, British-born DJ/producer Nick Newman has established himself as one of the most original and deeply-textured artists in the electronic music scene. Newman’s music, characterized by its warm meditative quality and ethereal soundscapes, has made its way onto industry-leading labels such as Armadillo Records, Akbal Music, Hoomidaas Records, JOOF Recordings, Manual Music, Seven Villas, The Soundgarden, Sudbeat Music, and Stripped Recordings. His sound has also garnered support from some of the world’s most influential DJ’s such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Nick Warren, Gai Barone, Pablo Bolivar, Kora, Armen Miran, Robbie Akbal, and more. Equally as impressive, Newman began his career as a DJ at age 14. He frequents the airwaves with regular guest mixes and radio shows where his sets range from 115bpm downtempo to 124bpm+ progressive house. His sound and style are instantly recognizable and suitable for warmup to peak hours, as well as the early-morning cooldown sets.

Christian Burkhardt is an artist truly absorbed with the range of sonic possibilities. A producer not content with existing within the realms of House and Techno, but one that is determined to further stretch its limits with his signature sound.

Christian's masterful use of technology meshed with the warm sounds of analog gear and over 13 years of music production experience, have tinged his production with a unique sound that other producers praise and DJ‘s never seem to stop playing. Solely on the basis of his productions, he has been invited to present the sounds of his Offenbach studio in the form of a live set, on nearly every continent.

Now, the CB Sessions boss teams up with TOCO, the pairing of Tobi Neumann & Marco Unzip, on the opening number of his latest CB Sessions 5 EP. Its quite a snare for CBS because Neumann is making a much anticipated return to the studio and together with both Marco and Christian, has crafted the effervescent 'Bubbles & Strings,’ which we premiere exclusively today.

As its title suggests the bouncy opener is built around a frothing synth and piercing dramatic stringsm whilst rasping snares scatter and and main synth ripples throughout.
