Hypnos is characterized by a sinuous fluctuation of intensity that reflects how humans experience the textures of life. PAAX (Tulum)’s second E.P. on Scorpios Music looks to the varying energies of the everyday and transposes them for the dancefloor, with the occasional reference to Spanish and Latin culture. Instrumental flair comes from revered names such as Daniel Herranz Gómez and Nelson Williams. Introspective yet with the sun’s movements in mind, Hypnos contributes to the richness of life from which it draws inspiration.

Born and bred in Buenos Aires, Santiago Garcia has previously appeared on Human By Default as well as Innervisions, Warung Recordings, and Moblack. Returning to Bedouin’s label for the first time since the collaborative ‘Bay Of Skaill’ with the label bosses in 2020, the Argentinian drops a two-track EP featuring one original production and a collaboration with UNDERHER, an artist who has previously worked with Moby, Booka Shade, and Maya Jane Coles amongst others.

On the title cut ‘Nanana’, Santiago Garcia combines driving percussion, soaring pads, and spine-tingling build-ups for a propulsive opening track. Teaming up for the first time, the duo deliver plodding, downtempo drums and emotive vocals on ‘Still Can’t Find You’, resulting in a well-balanced and musically thrilling two-tracker.

The recording from my set on the main stage, day 3 at Return to Rio 2023. 
Opening a day full of incredible music on the stage from Nick Warren, Amonita, Paris and some of Sydney's best artists from Frida, Samantha Loveridge, Andy Ef, Zankee Gulati and many more; and the first set the morning after a blistering 5 hour masterclass from Patrice Baumel. 

I took the opportunity to make the most of the 11am slot time and play some really beautiful up-beat melodic house, groovy deep house and all-around happy music for the opening slot of the day. 

Definitely the most fun I've had playing behind the decks in a long time!

Bedouin was first featured on the label's 2015 Summer Sampler with ‚Flight Of Birds’ helping build their reputation as master music makers. 

Following on from this is their first full EP on All Day I Dream. 
Each track casts its own unique spell. One thing Rami and Tamer know is mood. Opening with 'Straight To The Heart' beauty and hypnotic vibes abound. Sounding as good pitched up as it does at it's patient pace, it's groove ignites the dance floor as well as the heart. 

‚The Way Home’ takes it's time to build textures and layers creating a more somber mood. 

The EP is close out with the vocals of Eric Volta on ‚Sight’, perfectly complimenting the overall mood of the release.
