Brooklyn-based producer Brian Cid follows up standout releases on the likes of Knee Deep In Sound, Lost & Found and microCastle with a debut on Berlin's Save Us Records (home to the likes of Jonas Saalbach, YokoO and Kris Davis). The two track release, which has already won the hallowed support of BBC Radio 1 legend Pete Tong, comes strapped with a remix from  rising star Andrea Ljekaj.

The former pop/hip-hop producer took time out of his intense schedule this week to talk us through the release, his current projects and his motivation behind the move to the electronic underworld. 'It is a new year and Heinz Music is ready to set it off with a bang! Daniel Jaeger is a familiar face to the family and especially loved for his skillful molding of synths. Together with the young and talented Raphael Hofman he has set out on a deep and mysterious journey, resulting in their "Lost Unit" EP. The title track already sets the tone, and a dark and ominous bassline leads the way towards a soundscape of stabbing and atmospheric synths culminating in a powerful break. Secondly, "Kids On A Riot" continues with a flaring groove and massively pulsating bassline. It is a kind of euphoria hidden in the melody, just eagerly waiting to create some frenzy on the dance floor. Daniel and Raphael's third original track, "Generation Change", funks it up a bit. A tight and bouncy drum work sets the scene, introducing mysterious melodic elements and chords, underlining the silky vocals.'

For their first release of the year, Madorasindahouse strikes with a trippy afro gem by the Moroccan artists Mr. ID who collaborates with Abdullah, delivering an insatiable song dedicated to his mother. “Omah” is made for these special moments that the dancefloor needs an injection of emotion. On the remixes side, two Greeks are here to deliver their own vision of the song. Echonomist uses his trademark Detroit-insipired sound, while Madorasindahouse’s own Le Croque shows his own vision of the 2019 modern afro-house sound.
