February is coming to an end and at elrow Music, we wanted to spice things up with yet another great release! Our ERM098 reference comes again from Italy, this time by DJ and producer Waitz (aka Matteo Cingolani). This short take, which goes by the name ‘Aus Swindle EP’, is a four tracker with great hits by the Italian producer. Opening up we find ‘Aus Swindle (Original Mix)’, a track that starts with a strong percussion, with a clear structure, great groove and a sexy and soulful vocal line. After, we have the real deal of the record, ‘Beat Bek (Original Mix)’, a track that is the work of a genius. Right from the start, with those FX, strong percussion and vocal samples you notice this is something big. The synth lines are amazing, giving it a darkish and minimalistic feel to it, a true banger that will make any dancefloor flip out! The extraterrestrial FX, claps and progression set this one apart from the rest. In third position we find ‘Taking Over (Original Mix)’, a smoother track for other kind of mood on the dancefloor, with epic atmospheres, a great set of percussion and a clean vocal line and  a superb string work that grows as a whole, until becoming a joyful banger. Closing the EP we have ‘Work It Out (Original Mix)’, a track that starts with that great energy you can find at any elrow party, a smooth vocal line and brass sounds that will set the mood just right at any dancefloor, until it deconstructs itself brilliantly. All-in-all, Waitz managed to understand elrow Music’s proposition perfectly, delivering another great EP to the collection. We’re just two away from our 100th release, so stay tuned!

Multi Culti’s lucid-lifestyle dreamer Peter Power takes us on a free-wheeling trip to the motherland on AFRO DAMBA.

The Irish-born Voodoohop resident has returned from the jungles of Bahia with a fresh ep of primal party tracks sampling voices and rhythms from across Africa and it’s neighbouring islands, producing what is easily his most club-oriented work to date. Whereas his tracks for Voodoohop were spiritual flute-heart-openers, these are neo-pagan mating-ritual floor-fillers. The rhythm is set to tribal chug, with rollicking percussion, reverb-soaked vocals, and all the fun jangly bells & bits you expect to be hanging off such a well-traveled producer.

If that weren’t enough, we enlisted Romanian-dance-duo Khidja to double-down and remix both Adama Waro and Dansakoni (available as a digital-exclusive). Resident mix-lord Dreems also weighs in with a subtle remix of Dansakoni, gently upping the tempo and tweaking the knobs in selfless service of the original groove.

Making a welcome return to Kaluki this month is longstanding label favourite, De La Swing, with his hard-hitting ‘Club Del Sol’ EP. The Elrow head honcho has been making waves in the Tech House scene with releases on Circus, Mother, Lapsus and Material as well as playing out at DJ residencies across the globe alongside renowned sold-out Elrow parties. Kicking off the EP is lead track ‘Club Del Sol’ which takes you straight to the club with intricate drums, bouncy b-lines and playful percussion that will be sure to get the dancefloor marching. ‘Bang G’ follows as the slightly darker b-side offering up hypnotic looped vocals, atmospheric synths and an undulating low-end groove.
