From deep and organic house to indie dance and progressive. One of the main Russian electronic labels, Highway Records, celebrates its 15th anniversary! 

Founded by Mike Spirit in 2008, the label has travelled a long way from the Moscow underground scene to the world's dancefloors, gaining the respect and recognition of the industry's leading players, winning the love from fans of quality music at home and abroad. Highway has played a significant role in the development of the Russian electronic scene, becoming a home for many talented artists to realise their creative ideas and a platform to promote their music. 

Year after year the label continues to discover new names and broadcast its own view on electronic dance music, emphasising on quality, not chasing fashion and trends and remaining always up-to-date. The new 'Highway XV' compilation has collected under its cover 15 tracks from the label's extensive catalogue of almost 200 releases in a new interpretations created by a large team of Russian musicians who hold leading positions in the genres of Indie Dance, Deep House, Organic House and Progressive. Melody Of The Soul kick off the new year with a delightful four track EP by Domingo + and Loveclub that immerses into an atmosphere of magic and happiness.

Domingo + Loveclub are two separate producers, however they are brothers Chris & Perry Domingo. In the 90’s they wrote many records and toured together for years. Perry left the scene years ago to raise a family. Chris continued and has had great success with his last duo Mariner + Domingo. After over a decade, Perry dusted off his gear and rejoined his brother to start writing again. They have quickly climbed the music industry ladder by having several top 10 releases on labels – Songuara, Stellar Fountain, 3rd Avenue, Amulanga, Tale & Tone and a forthcoming EP soon to hit the market on Melody Of The Soul. Together, they continue to DJ and produce quality music and their 30 years of experience in the industry is paying off in the end.

Release thirty-five revisits The Little Things EP from Berlin producer Fabian Krooss with a package of three remixes, each putting a unique twist on the melodic and quirky originals. 

First up is Manjumasi label co-founder atish with a bouncing, dancefloor friendly take on Whopper. Solid pulsating bass energy and tasty shaker grooves keep the energy flowing throughout. 

Next is Belgian producer Hermanez with a masterful deep interpretation, whose airy pads and synths move into a more ethereal realm, creating a sense of movement and expansion. 

Finally, Berlin producer Kyong Sono (fka Kyongpaul) turns in a very heady take on The Little Things, really bringing the melodies and synthwork to the forefront over delicate percussion with a human touch and natural feel, a perfect one for the early evenings or slightly lower-tempo dancefloors.

Juicebox Music's 74th release sees us revisiting one of the label's biggest releases from a few years ago - Kabi & K Loveski's EP featuring "Lost in Roses" & "Whisper From The Moon", now with fresh remixes by Maezbi & ARTN. The original EP, released back in August 2021, gained massive support from tastemakers & fans alike thanks to the exclusive combination between Argentina's 'Kabi' and Russia's 'K Loveski'. The duo showcased an incredible balance of unique styles that fused together perfectly. 'Lost In Roses' painted a more euphoric mood with its lush melodies & energetic drive while 'Whisper From The Moon' dug deeper with it's funk-inspired groove and sprinkled riffs. Making his label debut with a special rendition of Kabi & K Loveski's "Lost in Roses" is Argentina's rising star - Maezbi. Better known to his family & friends as Maximiliano Biondi, Maezbi is relatively new to the industry but made such a huge impact with his production work, namely his releases on Nick Warren's 'The Soundgarden', Hicky & Kalo's 'Plaisirs Sonores' and more recently Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank'. For his remix of "Lost in Roses, Maezbi captured the soulful essence of the original's memorable elements with innovative & effective production techniques. Returning to one of his home bases is Aly Nahleh, aka ARTN, for his first remix on Juicebox Music. The Lebanese-born, currently based in Turkey, artist made his debut on our imprint with an EP featuring "Blue Frog" & "Lopos", back in late 2022, planting his foot as a forward-thinking and sonically charged artist, gravitating towards the groove & funkier side of progressive. Approaching production under the "quality over quantity" ethos, ARTN's discography boasts of limited but fantastic releases on Dmitry Molosh's 'Proportion', Mango's 'Mango Alley' & Jelly For The Babies' 'One of a Kind', to name a few. It only made sense to invite ARTN back on board to remix Kabi & K Loveski's "Whisper From The Moon", re-igniting funk & sophisticated grooves to the next level.
