A legendary figure in the underground house community, Juan Deminicis has consistently been at the cutting edge of the movement with a distinctive and innovative sound that has seen him grace such iconic imprints as Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas, Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Guy J’s Lost & Found. Now making his Meanwhile debut, the Juan Deminicis remix of 'Horizonz' is a compelling rework that dazzles with trademark rhythmic flair and sumptuous melodic arrangement. Layers of sound cascade over each other in intelligent fashion as the cadence of the original is enhanced with a dynamic vibrancy from sparkling hi-hats. Sumptuous pads and reverb-coated synth lines ripple across proceedings with ease as the subtle motifs of Khan’s work are complemented further by Deminicis’ stunning artistry.

Imran began his journey with electronic music in the 80s with a love of early hip-hop, scratching and the breakdancing scene. Roxanne Shante, Doug E Fresh, Mantronix and The Beastie Boys were big influences. 

The arrival of the late 90s saw him develop an addiction to vinyl and DJing, diving headlong into the music scene, absorbed by the hypnotic sounds of Sasha & Digweed, Danny Tenaglia and Paul Oakenfold amongst others. The turn of the millennium saw an interest develop in the production side of electronic music. Over the years he has slowly honed his craft, being drawn to the dark and deeper side of the genre. 

A wide spectrum of musical influences, from Film Scores to Metal, have helped develop his own musical identity. And now...with releases and remixes on top labels such as Proton, Particles and Meanwhile to name but a few, he has earned a new level of exposure that through pure passion and dedication he has worked long and hard to achieve.

Looking out over new 'Horizonz', Juan Deminicis and Simos Tagias create a bright new dawn for Imran Khan.

'An artist with a growing and storied history with Particles, Li-Polymer returns with the twin-track "Magnolia". Remixes come from Australian and Brazilian talents.

Opening his Particles account with a remix of Matt Rowan in late 2014 and another for Lateral Cut Groove in early 2015, several original tracks featured on the seasonal Particles compilation series in 2015 and 2016 before "Crystal Serenity" saw the Portuguese artist release his debut solo EP in May 2017. A four-year hiatus followed before the Organic House gem that was "Jacaranda" hit the shelves in February 2021 with remixes from Hot TuneiK and LADS and Traumhouse. Now blossoming with "Magnolia", the title track is a glorious melange of reverberated and delayed percussive beats while a heavy beat anchors the mesmerising melodies that swirl across the sonic landscape. Over the 10-minute piece, textured pads and twinkling keys glisten and ambient effects provide a garden-like atmosphere as synthesised birds twitter on the breeze and off-beat chords provide subtle dancefloor character. Characterised by powerful rhythmic foundation, a strong bass groove keeps "Microclima" in check as rich aural textures and atmospheric effects continue the sonic narrative of the EP. Waxing and waning gently throughout, Li-Polymer's skill is to create a sonic odyssey full of Organic House magic.

A veteran of myriad production credits across a plethora of blue-chip imprints, GMJ's relationship with Proton continues to grow. A former regular on Particles, "Edge of Remembrance" and "Forgotten Wisdom" lit up the label in 2014 before 2016's "Intimation" and 2018's "Open Doors" continued a sparkling portfolio, the latter in collaboration with Tripswitch. Remixes of Kastis Torrau and Donatello, Oliver Lieb and James Monro have also followed as GMJ returns with a trademark remix of "Microclima". Taking the rhythmic cadence of the original and adding a delicious hi-hat swing, silky synths and smooth bass groove entwine effortlessly as elements from "Microclima" are fused with glorious new production material. Blossoming at the breakdown in emotive fashion, chords and synth phrasing are used to maximum effect before the deft new bassline creates a head-shaking second half.

Clubsonica Records begins 2021 by welcoming Antrim back to the label for a new single. The Cordoba resident and Or Two Strangers boss continues to be a favourite of progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while laying claim to releases on Sudbeat Music and Hope Recordings. A prolific 2020 saw Antrim collaborate with fellow progressive music stars Interaxxis and Alex O'Rion, for releases on Cid Inc's Replug Records and Roger Martinez's Higher States, along with a solo outing for Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records and his chart topping Or Two Strangers vehicle 'Black Night'. Now starting the new year in style, Antrim returns to Clubsonica with 'Hoffnung', alongside remixes from Shai T and Rauschhaus.

Although best known for his progressive minded productions, Antrim often finds himself in the creative space between organic and progressive house. Such is the case with 'Hoffnung' which plays out over seven enchanting minutes. A narrative of warm swells and choir-like pads layer voluptuous bass lines and organic drums. Acting as a thematic core, the centrepiece showcases fluttery synth concepts; charming in design while moving fluidly across a radiant underbelly, as wispy effects and a rush of drums smoothly segues into a heavenly finale.

The first interpretation of 'Hoffnung' is provided by Shai T who makes his label debut. The Israeli artist has been riding a wave of success through the landscape of organic house. From his Tel Aviv studio, Shai's exquisite musical creations have found a home on the genre's most esteemed imprints, such as All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Do Not Sit On The Furniture, Lost Miracle and TRYBESof. Now as a regular in the Organic House Beatport Top 10, Shai makes his much anticipated Clubsonica debut with a gorgeous take on 'Hoffnung'. Always a creative remixer, the Israeli artist expands on the emotive qualities of the original with a truly breathtaking production. Full, warm and undeniably organic; it's buoyant low end, airy vocal phrasing and exotic percussion work in perfect sonic unison. An expansive centrepiece is highlighted by aquatic cascades and soaring strings, tastefully elevating mood with their elegant musicality, as the groove drops for a blissful final movement.
