Blade & Beard’s Futurist imprint goes into round two with a lovely EP by the Italian project Never Lost. Their dark and melodic style has fascinated Blade & Beard straight from the beginning and was reason enough for them to ask them for a release. „Rebirth“ consists of two original tracks and one amazing remix treatment by the Argentinian DJs and producers Satom & Distant.

The release kicks of with „La Storia del Tempo (Jikan No Rekishi)“, a dark but highly melodic tune, which has already created an amazing moment in Blade & Beard’s set at Tomorrowland. Once you’ve heard the main theme you will never forget it again.

The second track is „Rebirth“, a state-of-the-art deep-tech tune which creates a stunning atmosphere. Its simplicity makes it highly effective. One for many moments.

Satom and Distant have picked „Rebirth“ for their interpretation and transformed it into a killer old school techno bomb.

Back and fresh on the release circuit for 2k18 is Berlin-based Jose Antonio Garcia Soler, better known to his friends and followers by his artistic nom de guerre KID SIMIUS. The KID proudly presents his FLASHBACK EP, a heartwarming monster of a single featuring no-one less than the beloved band outfit KILNAMANA comprised of Enda Gallery and KID SIMIUS' brother Miguel Garcia Soler. With the original version of Flashback KID SIMIUS and KILNAMANA present a tender, yet highly emotional slow jam, a modernistic take on contemporary Future R'n'B and Urban Soul accompanied by epic synth leads, a sparse electronic and surely beatmaker influenced foundation. It's electrifying chorus touches hearts from deep within. On a remix tip for Flashback is NICONE. The German producer who's been stirring up dancefloors throughout the past decade with releases on labels such as Stil Vor Talent, Katermukke and his very own imprint Dantze. His take on Flashback beams us straight to the very center of a buzzing dancefloor, implementing a warm yet hypnotic feel to his musical interpretation whilst sending punters to a next lexel of ecstasy with large scale build-ups and crystalline synth lines. Closing the EP with his remix is KALIPO, a Berlin-based Bavarian known for his complex and intricate take on club music under this moniker as well as for his activities in the highly successful German IndieElectro-staple Frittenbude for more than decade. His rework comes down to a perfect soundtrack to accompany a beautiful sunrise on the dancefloor, catering a detailed menu of multilayered strings, slightly balearic guitars, pumping beats and, of course, the original tunes beautiful vocals spreading nothing but everlasting love whenever played out to a heaving crowd.

‘Vedanta’ literally translates to 'the end of the vedas’, an ancient Indian philosophy with various schools of thought based around duality and non-duality. This track takes a hypnotic and melodic direction that is very much part of Kohra’s signature style.

Berlin-based Kotelett & Zadak are up first on remix duties, tackling ‘Vedanta’. The duo are regulars at Katerblau and have previously released on key labels like Poker Flat and Exploited Ghetto. They give the original a stripped-down sound that is spooky & mysterious, trapping you in their alluring late night house atmosphere.

This is another fresh release from Qilla, a label that continues to push the envelope.'

Armonica, the charismatic Italian duo from Riccione, have been making people take notice for several years. They were previously both residents of the infamous Cocorico club and formed a close friendship before deciding to bring their musical projects together.

The result thereof is a respectably sized repertoire—and some of these tracks are meant to see the light of day in the upcoming months.

Under the umbrella of KNOTEN, R.EK is currently developing a new live performance concept that attempts to reinvent the communication between the artist and the audience by adding innovative visuals to the show.
