Amadeus sees it’s catalog graced yet again by New Zealand outfit Chaos In The CBD. The kiwi brothers, birthed Ben & Louis Helliker-Hales, are no new faces to the label, or the wide variety of genre-bending acronyms they encompass. Having recently relocated from tropical Auckland to damp London earlier this year, the two take their productions along with them in their latest efforts, 816 To Nunhead.

Title track and aside, “816 To Nunhead,” is tinged with what’s left of summer. A nostalgic tune built for the sun and soaked in funk. It’s a track reminiscent of early french disco, almost as if built for the two robots themselves. Guitar plucks and hi hats flow seamlessly throughout the tune, aided by a glorifying vocal, “I would like to think of my music as just an extension, an extension of me of today or whatever.”

What emotion of freedom and escape evoked on the Aside can be contrasted on the flip, “78 To Stanley Bay,” a tune built behind the ever looming theme of loneliness. Accompanied by a live trumpet courtesy of Isaac Aesili, ’78 To Stanley Bay’ tells us a story, or rather a journey, built behind dirty hats and delayed keys. This is a track fashioned for everywhere but the club, and we absolutely love that.

This is the second single from me and my buddy Miller Blue on Shall Not Fade ❤️  I’m really proud of this one as I feel it’s a marriage of the kinda classic LG sound with Millers beautiful writing/vocals, which came together over a four day studio trip in Tetbury (shouts as always to Matt Karmil for engineering this) Miller has such a knack for writing relatable lyrics in his songs and this is a perfect example. I’m happy to be making more “involved” records in recent times and need to big up Shall Not Fade for supporting! I hope you enjoy the music x

So hyped to release a tune I made with one of my best mates J.Peacock today! This one was made after a pretty long break from making music as I got a bit lost in what I wanted to do and overthinking shit. Me and Joel got together for a late night studio session one Friday with a bunch of samples (from his Dad’s killer 7” sou collection) and a load of beers and went IN. Tom Pardy made an appearance at some point also (shout out Tom). In the morning the project was pretty messy, but we sorted that on the next session and here we are. This night in the studio basically instigated me writing the rest of the EP over the next week or so (more on these later).  As always, hope you’re into it, let me know what you think. Shout out Shall Not Fade for releasing and Matt Karmil as always for the killer mixdowns, BYE x

Andre makes his debut on Project13 with his ‘Agony’ EP. Opening the EP is the self titled Agony, a dark and energetic melodic techno cut filled with a powerful arp and dark textures. Next up is Shadows & Shambler, two dark melodic tracks with a progressive touch. 

Andre Texias developed his passion for music at a very young age. Born and raised in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, he began to study and experiment with music when he was a teenager. It is not until 2016 that he started developing ideas and creating original tracks, always keeping the dark atmosphere in each production.

In 2017, he had his first release, ‘Lonely’, receiving support from Hot Since 82, who played it in his podcast on Ibiza Global Radio.

Always dark, raw and tireless in his creative process, Andre continues to working on new tracks, creating melodic soundscapes and raw drums.
