This time, I want to pay tribute to those great artists who barely enjoyed visibility in their time, having made such incredible, underground synth pieces that perhaps the public wasn't ready for at the time, or their songs were so personal that they didn't care about public opinion. In any case, I wanted to rescue some pieces by editing them, including an instrument or polishing them a bit, trying to respect their original vision as much as possible. In the editing process, I discover how the artists make the songs. I learn a lot from them and their way of composing, and it helps me a lot to continue growing as an artist.

Exclusive Foreign Guest & Cook Strummer 'Run'

Shortly before the release of Radikon's annual label compilation 'Retro II', which features new cuts from uprising artists such as Yubik and Baime, it's time to get into the vibes of newly collaborating artists Foreign Guest and Cook Strummer, who recently delivered a post-pop electronic piece of music and giving the scene a first taste of what's musically to expect from him with his 'Some Feelings EP' on Moodmusic. 'Run' is a creaking rock-ish tune that clearly states Foreign Guest's and Cook Strummer's preference for the initially named genre, guitar riffs and squeaking synth-chords set the base for Cook Strummer's vocals that compromise various features: it's husky, it's fragile, it's rough, it's unique and there's no way one can 'Run' from him as the eponymous track has the potential of becoming the linking piece of merging different genres and artists.

'Retro II' will be released on Radikon on November 29th, 2019.

Milan-born DJ and producer Auggië teamed up with Enrico Sturm to produce Vrasnavar, a genre-bending, time-signature-defying analogue extravaganza. The track begins with a simple three chord guitar rhythm, but Auggië spurns all expectations with sudden, off-beat drums and clattering percussion, taking the listener on an erratic journey that’s both simplistic and complex at the same time. Eery violins and high-pitched synths pierce through the discord making the perfect soundtrack to a haunted house tour and a production that’ll make you feel lost, then found, then lost again.
