Following INVŌKER’s ‘Superhero’, When We Dip XYZ is proud to present ‘The Chaos Inside’ from Imeïa, who has already been spotlighted on imprints such as Isolate, Frau Blau and Sum Over Histories. On this EP, the enigmatic producer blends impactful grooves, uncharacteristic delays, poignant textures and creative use of silence.

Things start off with ‘Le Pire Pour La Fin’, a deep cut which is led by a slow, drawn-out melody which recedes in favour of the bassline and noise-heavy plucks.
 
The eponymous ‘The Chaos Inside’ brings the energy levels a few notches up. The layered pad and choir initiate a progression of epic proportions over the simple, driving groove. The impacts, risers and glitches all accentuate this feeling of immensity. 

On ‘Elegancia’, the doubled kicks and resounding vocals set the scene for the larger than life lead synth. A subtle acid touch on the bass completes the tune. 

The last track, ‘Blue Romance’ displays the clearest vocals we’ve seen from Imeïa so far. The line ‘I don’t wanna be a fool, I just wanna be a tool’ is repeated throughout the intro and outro. A screaming guitar announces the highlight of the tune, with its uplifting bass pattern and toy-like percussions. An alternate dub mix is also available.

Bootes Gray's 'Fermentado' delves into intriguing shadows and electronic pulses, setting the stage for MANTi's 'Usual Suspects,' characterized by glitchy soundscapes and metallic nuances. This captivating darkness continues with NUMEN's 'Apotegma Infinita,' featuring hypnotic undertones, sweeping alarms, and cinematic drums.

If you're in search of feel-good vibes, 'Hear You' by magic.made.by.R and 'Tone' by South Korean artists Onizmik and Departs will be your go-to tracks within this captivating compilation.

Closing out the compilation is 'Afraid of Love' by Paul Schmidpeter, a dreamy track with organic drums that provides the perfect ending to this diverse musical journey.

Samantha Loveridge - Conjure [Amaeo]

Spring arrives and brings with it a colorful, texture-filled new episode to REBA. 

Some will see a variegated fabric, others a fatty substance used for gliding, and the last will recognize the pure essence of our favorite plant. 'Wax' opens the ball with its incisive sound and soaring universe. 

The title of the second track on this new opus, 'The Sub Changed My Life', says it all. 
A swaying line, a set of deep frequencies that meet airy wavetables, all carried along by a percussive groove. What a program! 

For once, the last track gives its name to this new EP. Remcord takes us on a personal journey through his emotions. Here, the focus is clearly on the main line. No frills, 'Carbon Fiber' is born.  

As usual a lot of love and a bit of grass was used into the musical process.
