'For our 44th release on Juicebox Music, we're excited to present "Karma", a collaborative single by label debutant - Da Luka & returning artist - Jorgio Kioris. Hailing from Berat (Albania), Da Luka's journey since 2013 has seen him release music on Nikko Z's 'Dopamine Music', Madloch's '3rd Avenue' & Deersky's 'Soundteller Records' to name a few. Joining him & re-appearing on our imprint is the Kavála (Greece) based artist & Bloque Festival founder - Jorgio Kioris, who's also released music on Tash's 'Movement Recordings', Framewerk's 'Capital Heaven' as well as Stan Kolev & Matan Caspi's 'Outta Limits'. After Jorgio Kioris & Da Luka remixed each other on separate occasions, the two teamed up & put out "Cross The Line" & "Mirror Mode" on 'One of A Kind' & 'Hookah Records', respectively. Now joining our imprint for their third single - "Karma", they've pulled up their sleeves & brought out the big guns aiming straight for the darker rooms. A deep groove, dub chords & fluttering effects set the foundation to keep you glued to the floor.

Making his much awaited debut on our imprint is Chivilcoy (Argentina) based artist - Paul Deep. Through exceptional production quality, proven by highly acclaimed releases on Lee Burridge's 'All Day I Dream' & Hernan Cattaneo's 'Sudbeat', his music has become a firm favourite of many top-tier tastemakers with no surprise. Reworking the best parts of "Karma", Paul Deep's interpretation of Da Luka & Jorgio Kioris' "Karma" provides a more chunky & upfront experience.'

The latest offering from Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint finds the label presenting new interpretations of Nopi's ‘Hookan Idyll'. Originally released in October of 2020 as part of the Ukrainian's well-received ‘Where to Go' EP, it's deeper design and hopeful atmospheres charmed DJs and fans alike, proving once again what an exceptional talent Nopi has become. Now bringing new life to the much-loved track, Sound Avenue invites Forty Cats, Meeting Molly and Pedro Capelossi to re-imagine the production for 2022.

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of ‘Hookan Idyll' is Forty Cats. With well over a decade's worth of DJ experience, Russian artist Christina Gavrilova aka Forty Cats has been a fixture of her country's nightlife, sharing the stage with Jody Wisternoff, Nick Warren, Yotto, Dave Seaman and more. Christina's production debut landed three years ago via 8bit Music, and in relatively short order the Russian artist has gone on to release projects via Lane 8's This Never Happened, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Juicebox Music and Mango Alley. Having made her Sound Avenue debut in January with a well-received remix of Eric Lune's ‘Dreaming Home', Forty Cats now makes a welcome return with an equally stunning take on ‘Hookan Idyll'. Smooth and rhythmic throughout, the Russian artist goes deep and driving for what results in a hypnotic eight-minute journey. Meditative lines, gentle tonal themes and intoxicating atmospheres unite across the first act, perfectly setting up an effects-laden break. Acid-like lines and ghostly vocal fragments emerge as the centrepiece evolves, adding a trippy flair as the narrative builds onwards to a thumping drop and colourful finale.

'Beginning the new year in style, Cid Inc’s Replug Records welcomes GMJ and Matter back to the label for a two-track showcase. Based in Melbourne, the Aussie duo have been beloved figures in the global progressive house scene for over a decade. Having forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of melody and rhythm, the duo has drawn the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula. Whether operating in solo capacity or as a duo, GMJ and Matter have taken their elusive production touch to the industry’s most esteemed imprints. From Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and UK behemoth Anjunadeep, to Australia's long-standing Balance Music and their own burgeoning Meanwhile imprint, it’s GMJ and Matter’s storytelling style that continues to surprise and inspire even the genre’s most discerning trendsetters. Replug has also served as a landing spot for the talented Aussie’s, with the release of Matter’s ‘Satori’ EP marking his label debut in 2017, while GMJ first arrived in 2016 with a contribution to the label’s Replugged, Vol. 2 collection. Now, fresh off their latest Meanwhile vehicle ‘EXT 135’, GMJ and Matter land back on Replug to begin the new year with ‘Metanoia’.  

 As a recent favourite of Replug boss Cid Inc, EP opener and title selection 'Metanoia' finds GMJ and Matter composing with a strong sense of space. Instantly seductive, its looping hypnotism and subtle musicality never fail to command your attention, driving each other into a whirlpool of spiralling emotions, making for a flexible club track that bends between scenes while injecting vibrant energy into the dancefloor. Rich atmospheres, effervescent percussion and dubbed out tones are at a premium across the eight-minute excursion, with each sound being an event in a slowly expanding landscape, zooming out to reveal a world of scale in which depth and contrast coax perfectly with rhythm and melody.  

 Moving forward to selection two, GMJ and Matter masterfully synthesize their talents into one singular meditative vision that is 'In Bloom'. Building with a subdued pulse, its smoky resonance eventually gives way to melodic experimentation, where textural and structural dimensions blanket subterranean wobbles and tightly knit percussion, resulting in a profound mood setting experience. Thematically distinct throughout, the duo’s misty melodies are haunting and highly memorable, ringing out in timeless suspension across a mood lifting break, before segueing into a utopian finale that resonates with a rare combination of hope and reflection. 

 The 'Metanoia' project is a fantastical journey across a vivid electronic cosmos, one where GMJ and Matter carefully balance technical vision, with thought-provoking musicality and elaborate rhythmic sequences, making for a two-track affair that brings us closer to knowing the enigmatic duo, while continuing to live in the mystery of their design. The wonderful VONDA7 joins the Sudbeat family with a new single and get the remix treatment from Alex O'Rion and Graziano Raffa. Let's know more about what's behind 'Perception'.

VONDA7's story is one of realising your dreams through determination, tenacity and hard work. Growing up on a mish mash of sounds, finding French House and then Techno transformed this Polish artists life forever. 

Attending SAE Amsterdam began her journey towards a living her dream which now sees her transformed into a savvy buisnesswoman who juggles DJing, producing and label owning with consummate ease. Signed already to a wide array of imprints from Sasha's LNOE to Sian's Octopus Recordings, VONDA7's sound defies pigeonholing, making her all the more exciting. 

Opening with low-slung bubbly acid, and twickling arps, 'Perception' in orginal form is aimed squarely at the peak time floor. Crisp percussion keeps time while the sparkling synths start to weave their magic. The main break serves as a quieting before those arps go into overdrive in the secord half. 

First up of remix duties, Alex O'Rion adds his considerable studio skill to the mix with a deep, early morning vibe perfect for an Ibizan sunrise. Straight after, Graziano Raffa takes the original motifs and applies his Italian charm creating a smooth uptempo ride with the repeating arp wrapped around the beat while frequencies of Reese bass roar from the bottom.
