Aptly titled, ‘Last Minute’ was recorded at the eleventh hour, the night prior to Elias’ gig at Montreal’s infamous îLESONIQ festival last summer. As a highlight of the set, the Canadian’s keen sense of dancefloor dynamics held true once again. A slow burn beginning ultimately sets the pace, tactfully building anticipation as arpeggiated sequences and astral melodies fall like rain-drops, atop titanic kick drums, chunky grooves and finely tuned percussion, for an all out main room assault.

Mira Nait, his remix enters a heavier dimension while maintaining the original’s vocals and progressive atmosphere. Moving into German producer TH;EN’s remix of ‘The Night’ by HEREON x Adam Sellouk x Braev x Like Mike, this powerful rendition builds a steady soundscape around the impactful vocals. Revisiting Nightlapse’s ‘Weightless’, Swiss producer Dan Sushi infuses trance and progressive elements to achieve a rave-ready version of the label anthem.

The Remixes II artwork displays coral and surrounding reef fish, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Small reef fish play a crucial role in maintaining the health of coral ecosystems by controlling algae growth, which can otherwise smother corals. Their feeding habits promote coral regeneration and biodiversity, ensuring the resilience of these delicate marine habitats. These little fish also serve as a vital food source for larger predators, supporting the broader oceanic food web. Words of Nio makes his debut on Sudbeat with an exciting brace of tracks. Patrice Baumel completes the package with a remix that shows his immense taste.

Ibiza-based, multi-instrumentalist, Words of Nio is an audio chameleon influenced in his early years by Underworld, Depeche Mode and Aphex Twin. He played and toured with various bands since he was 16. After his last band broke up he took some time out to refocus, and by 2015 had moved to Ibiza to pursue a full-time music career again. Now signed to Renaissance, Get Physical and more, his sound is finding a wider audience and soundtracking parties across the globe.

Opening with 'Beside The Fire', a deep shaker-led groove reveals soft piano and delicate vocals. Very much focused on vibe and atmosphere, the deepness is punctuated by clever FX and mindful sonics. On the remix, Patrice Bäumel focuses on the vocal elements creating something of a Thom Yorke vocal arrangement that squeezes out every last drop of emotion. One more stellar work added to his outstanding discography. Finally, the second original cut, 'Whispers', follows a more tribal path. Emotive and vocal, its perfect for those 4am-deep-in-your-own-space groovathons. Nuanced and incredibly detailed work from the new kid on the block!

Madloch's 3rd Avenue imprint is excited to present the latest offering from Sydney-based artist Michael Bennett, the Move to the Hills EP. Featuring two original tracks, Move to the Hills and Beneath the Tree, this release showcases Michael's thoughtful approach to production, focusing on quality over quantity in the progressive house realm.

Michael first made his production debut in 2022 with an EP on Massive Harmony Records, collaborating with Covsky and FRAIS. In 2023, he was featured on a Mango Alley compilation, which led to his first solo EP on the label earlier this year. Though his discography is selective, each release is a carefully crafted journey that reflects his dedication to the art of progressive house.
