Solardo - Acid Jump - Acid Jump EP - LR039 - OUT NOW

Miami born turntablelist & producer, Jesse Perez, throws down a booty shaking killer house jam for Edible’s fourth release.  “What You Say About My Momma” has been ripping up dancefloors for months since landing in Eats Everything’s hands, so it’s a welcome release on the label, backed with a deadly remix from Truncate.

On the Original Mix, Perez grinds out a funky and low-slung groove, its memorable vocal hook looping and chopping from side to side as the raw MPC beats and sub bass weave their magic.  

Truncate brings his no nonsense and direct approach on the remix, carving out a Dance Mania style drum workout over the cut up vox (think Robert Armani meets Armand Van Helden).  Truncate has been a hugely dependable producer for yonks via his trax on his own Truncate label as well as mixes for Jimmy Edgar, Shlomi Aber and KiNK, and he does not disappoint here.

Perez wraps up the EP with ‘Boogie Down Brown’, another slab of funk laden house goodness, blending high tension strings and rolling drums to great effect.

Perez has been firing out infectious house jams for labels like BPitch, DJ Sneak’s I’m A House Gangster and Hot Creations, for some time now, as well as working his own label Mr. Nice Guy, so it’s a welcome addition to the Edible roster for Jesse Perez.

The boss is back! To close this July's releases at elrow Music, De La Swing himself has decided to take a step forward once again and deliver one of the hottest EPs of the year so far. Two originals and one remix by rising star Shaf Huse are the ones forming this 'Face To Face EP', a tech-house banger by own right.

Opening the EP we have the track naming the EP: 'Face To Face (Enter The Rave Rework)' is a percussive track with heavy acid treatment, a catchy vocal line, with very little melodies, making this track a straight-forward, physical affair, meant to tear everyone dancing shoes.

After, we find 'Face To Face (Shaf Huse Remix)', in which the young promise infuses the track with a quicker percussion, a bit of melody and some FX, making it the perfect transient track for any moment on the floor.

Closing the EP we have another original by De La Swing, 'Dihue (Original Mix)', a complete different track, with a sexier vibe and more fine and elegant touches, making it the true banger of the EP. 'Dihue' is a track with a character of its own, with a more melodic treatment, a catchy vocal loop and some crazy and exotic background FX, that will make this track feature heavily in many sets this summer.

July closes, but expect us to receive August in full force! We have more surprises yet to come. Stay tuned!

After some appearances on the label in VA releases, the Napoletanean Dj Dep debuts on the label with 'Jumpin Jumpin EP' a powerful EP with two original tracks produced tailored for groovy dancefloors. We are also happy to have on board Joey Daniel, Music On and Moan usual artist, as remixer.

'Funky Shit' opens this EP with lots of groove, smart percussion sequences and funny sampled vocals. That kind of track ready to make the people dance at 4am. Joey Daniel remixed it in an elegant and deeper way but still powerful to make some damage through the proper soundsystem. Giving the name to this release, 'Jumpin Jumpin' is about a heavy beat and monster breakdown, a massive destruction weapon.
