One of the most exciting up and coming artists of recent times, Detlef makes his debut on the mighty Hot Creations with his ‘Kinky Tail EP’ featuring three jacking bombs plotting a riot on the dancefloor. After recenly appearing on our podcast you will know his production career thus far tends to veer in the direction of the dancefloor and having seriously impressed with releases on the likes of release music on respected labels such as Be As One, Material Series and VIVa MUSiC we had high hopes that his mix for us would be crafted on a similarly sumptuous tip.

Greece native Detlef labelled the ’Kinky Tail’ release "a mythical monster that has been hiding in my studio for a long time. The tracks in this EP revolve around kinky basslines with short musical interludes which combine to keep an underground feel and work great on the dancefloor too.”

We premiere the lead track of the EP "Kinky Tail" below, Detlef is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Following his much-loved remixes of Maribou State and ODESZA released on Anjunadeep in 2015, label favourite Daniel Goldstein aka Lane 8 returns with two stellar reworks of George FitzGerald’s 2017 anthem ‘Burns’.

Lane 8’s ‘Morning Mix’ is an ode to the lush atmosphere of the original, a highlight from George’s sophomore album ‘All That Must Be’ released earlier this year on Domino. With the original’s mesmerising vocal chops front and centre, Goldstein blends tranquil piano arpeggios and stuttering synth stabs to create a pensive soundscape imbued with melancholy.

The ‘Club Mix’ is a showcase of Lane 8’s trademark sound. Detuned chords, void-like atmospheres, and a thumping four-to-the-floor kick drum combine to create a fierce peak-time soundtrack.

Mattia comes with some fresh air from the North to refresh the heat of this summer ’18. On ‘Circle’ we find a hypnotic leitmotiv along a vibrant bass and some analog percussion. All the story is completed by an amazing guitar with an eighties touch. Sincopat’s captain AFFKT offers a different vision of the track providing a super groovy rhythm plus a second thick synth to the cocktail. With ‘Blanc’ you will get a splendid bubbling bass and just a few elements properly placed to get the best on the dance floor. Berlin-based duo Aaaron & Deckert continue their path out of the darkness and into the light with the 'Shadows' EP on Chapter 24. They are joined by a third Berliner - the accomplished DJ, vocalist and songwriter Meggy - on the A-side. It's a powerful, rolling cut, textured and full of swagger, set off by Meggy's dusky signature vocal that combines equal parts darkness and soul. Three Editions add to the mix and each offer a different flavour. Label regular JOBE throws in cosmic flair and tension, perfect for peak time. Meanwhile, rising star Sobek reimagines the harmony of the track to bring extra emotion and mystery to proceedings. KatrinKa's rework is deep and hypnotic, punctuated with piano stabs and gently enveloping synth lines. The package is completed by 'Hide' on the flip. Bumping tribal toms set the scene before a killer synth line takes hold. All in all it's a feel good affair, though not completely black and white. Out of the night and lit by moonlight, Aaaron & Deckert make their ascent on Chapter 24.
