What a team we have in this release! From the very beginning of our publishing house we had the opportunity to dance to their great hits and now, dub.format, Chihaka, VieL and Ranta together on one release!

The leader of this EP is a masterful music producer and DJ from Argentina, dub.format! The mix of classic house and tech sounds combined with progressive notes is something that makes this guy easily recognizable from the first bars of the song!
The EP "Keep" consists of two originals and three remixes from one original, and on the remix duty, as a "icing on the cake", we have a super trio - Chihaka, Viel and Ranta!

Jurek Riegler has developed a universally loved unique style; a dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fits in any kind of club or open-air festival. Jurek's releases have always received high acclaim from the world leading lights of electronic music. For his return to ICONYC we're excited to welcome Yöurr & Quirin to bring us their take on Jurek's 'Druckempfänger'.

Jurek who knows a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing productions, delivers an irresistible track that kicks things off nicely with the melancholic vibes setting the tone. He roams effortlessly through progressive inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top of the driving percussive foundation. Jurek takes it up a notch by adding an extra layer of depth, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed drumming and his trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the main groove. His work deserves to be branded 'essential' in any sense of the word.

On remix duty we welcome Yöurr for his debut on the label. Yöurr who is known for his melodic and refined sound, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general drive all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear yet sounding totally fresh - This massive touch up takes the energy quantities up a level and increases the drive with stripped back and lucid elements, before the energetic groove creates a blanket of warmth that will put a smile on your face.

The second remix comes courtesy of Berlin based Quirin, who brings a deep melodic edge to 'Druckempfänger'. His rework creates a good feel vibe from the word go, as the atmospheric and driving vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces that continue building to culminate into this amazing groover. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a stunning glow and an air of sophistication.

With the talent on offer, Jurek Riegler's 'Druckempfänger' manages to deliver a message of sustained musical relevance in emphatic fashion to warm the soul. Not to be missed! Armenian artist DAVI delivers his third EP on Damian Lazarus' label Crosstown Rebels. Following Two Suns In the Sky and Gates Of Babylon, DAVI's latest EP displays a more driving sound than his previous releases, leaning into big basslines and pacey percussion.

DAVI shares an insight into the long-running process behind the EP. "Over the past 7-10 years, I have accumulated many ideas in my hard drive that I always wanted to make into songs," he says. "'Nosferatu' was first made in 2014, but I never finished it. This year I went back to my old projects and brought them back to life with a newer touch. Since I am known for a specific sound and style through my productions, I wanted to get out of my comfort zone for a little and make bigger tracks for bigger dancefloors. I believe this is what I was aiming for in this EP." The title track kicks off with head-nodding drums and sporadic, quick-fire claps while a gnarly synthline winds through the soundscape. A heavily pitched-down vocal adds a psychedelic feel, building tension that's apt for a teeming dancefloor. On the flip, Mirage feels like a dip in the Balearic sea — warm, rippling and radiant. A thumping kickdrum shapes the mood, meandering between a low-strung bassline and distorted vocals. A potent blend of dark and bright textures.

Armenian-born DJ, producer and musician DAVI has followed an upward trajectory over the last decade, releasing on celebrated labels like All Day I Dream, RADIANT and many more. Musically gifted from a young age and influenced by rock icons Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, DAVI landed a place at Komitas State Conservatory's music department in Yerevan, Armenia, where he finessed his skills as a producer. Having moved to Los Angeles in 2006, where he currently resides, he immersed himself in the city's electronic scene and soon released his own melodic house, techno and electronica. The likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and John Digweed played DAVI's work, amplifying his profile to a new level. DAVI's DJ sets reflect his dynamic and open-minded approach as an artist, with bookings across the USA, Canada and, of course, Tulum in Mexico, where his sound sits right at home.

Exclusive Speaking In Tongues - Voodoo Moon

After a successful 2019 with releases on TAU and microCastle Speaking In Tongues kick off 2020 with the first out of five installments on their very own and enterily re-branded label Eternal Order, namely their double-sided single Voodoo Moon. The single's eponymous track is built around percussive driven sub-frequencies as a mono-chord and multi-facetted vocals, which adopt the chord's tonality, set the basis for thetake before various elements, mainly rhythmical addings, and an eternal voodoo-esque horntakes the track even deeper to the musical sound ritual and maneuvers the audience into a heavy state of trance. Speaking In Tongues start the new decade quite tricky and trippy yet classy and close an existing vacuum in the scene as their Voodoo Moon release has already gained major support from artists such as Toto Chiavetta, Amberoom or Frankey. 

Speaking In Tongues' single Voodoo Moon will be released on Eternal Order on March 6th, 2020.
