Peruvian DJ and producer, Ammo Avenue makes his debut on Pirate Copy's Kaluki Musik this summer with the brand new, 'Lost Planet' EP. Continuing his rise through the underground music scene, Ammo Avenue has established himself as one of House music's most exciting newcomers. With his newfound signature sound, made of bumping basslines and solid House beats, the past 18 months have seen Ammo release his high energy tunes on respected labels including Black Book, Toolroom, Rawthentic, South of Saturn, Repopulate Mars, VIVa and more. <p>This collection of label boss Sasha Carassi&#8217;s tracks boasts remastered gems from the past and brand-new tracks ready to be placed in many a Techno arsenal.The first half of this compilation consists of Sasha&#8217;s older works which feel right at home with his newer productions and that&#8217;s not just because of the remastering. All of the elements we know and love are here; pulsating synths, shadowy effects, tense atmospherics and stomping drums.The three closing tracks show Mr. Carassi in top form again, with &#8220;Phorme&#8221; setting the tone with staccato stabs and rumbling subs. &#8220;Globular Cluster&#8221; gives a taste of a dismal, mechanized future, and the closing &#8220;Old Fashioned Lover&#8221; gives a firm nod to the old school with trademarked chords and familiar vocals.</p>

Jake Ness is a musician, DJ and an avowed music lover. His homeland is the province of Machala, northwest of Ecuador, where he began his career as a producer. Jake Ness was influenced by Chicago House and Detroit Techno sounds. Capable of creating electronic music in diverse genres such as Deep house, Tech-house and Techno, Ness has been surrounded by music and sound since his early days, influenced by his father's hobby of owning a mobile disco, a vehicle that gave him access to the mystery of music, along with CD cases and DJ instruments, his passion and dedication can be felt in his work.

'The Spotlight EP', 4 original tracks that were born from the fusion of different genres that have influenced the sound of Jake Ness. We will surely find classic and modern sonorities, ranging from Tech-house to abstractions of the Chicago House sound. In this EP, Ness shows his ability to develop different proposals within the genre. Technical resources such as sampling and looping consolidate the development of the tracks. After the culmination of his studies, he embodies a sound that shines by itself and will continue to grow and glow.

National Geordie treasure Richy Ahmed is undoubtedly an original brother and integral cog in the Hot Creations machine and since his emergence alongside the crew and subsequent blowing up of the scene, Richy has become one of the most sought after and hard­working DJs on the circuit. Now honing his production skills to a fine point, it’s no surprise he’s been showcasing on the label, with last years ‘The Drums’ smashing through on all fronts. Richy is now bestowed with the honour of helming the pinnacle 50th release for the ever ubiquitous label. ‘The Bells’ part 1 & 2 ­ already championed by Skream on BBC Radio 1 ­ is a bass driven banger centered around the hypnotic percussive groove.

Launched in 2010 and co­owned by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, Hot Creations is the
ground­breaking independent dance imprint that’s gained global notoriety in recent years through pioneering a new and unique sound born of it’s founders deep affinity with old disco records and soulful funk. 2013 saw the duo take their label to even greater planes upon the major label release of their band Hot Natured’s truly unique debut album and the label continues to nurture and champion a host of incredible homegrown and
overseas talent such as Digitaria, Greg Pidcock, Miguel Campbell, Robert James, wAFF and of course Richy Ahmed. 

In summer 2012, the crew launched the weekly Paradise events in Ibiza DC10, now in its third year and one of the current highlights on the island.

Richy has always played an integral part in the label, ranging from A&R to residencies at the global Hot Natured and Paradise events. Having since made an impact at some of the world’s best clubs and festivals including, Sonar, Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, Bestival, Panorama bar and London institution fabric, Richy has continually proved himself as an unequivocal party starter.

Armed with an individual sound that fuses the energy of house and disco with infectious funk­inspired grooves and a touch of dark, Richy’s distinct style has always been championed by heavyweights in the game such as Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus, Clive Henry and Seth Troxler. 2013’s ‘The Drums’ was Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune and gained widespread support among all the Radio 1 taste makers including Annie Mac, Danny Howard,and Rob Da Bank. As well as a host of massive remixes for the likes of Katy B on Columbia, Phil Kieran on Hot Flush, Michael Janson on Resonance Records, Richy also had a major coup curating the Rinse: 23 compilation to wide critical acclaim, cementing Richy’s status in the nu school elite.

Shelter is our latest release from Clint Stewart and it's a benchmark in the catalog as it's the first time any of our releases have included a remix. And, for that remix, we showed no restraint, commissioning our very own, man of the hour, Stephan Hinz.

As you dive into the first cut off the EP, 'Shelter', you instantly begin to take an excursion into the ethereal. Shimmers of distant audible light flicker in the backdrop as a hypnotic pulse tightens its grip, strapping you in for a trip deep into celestial territory. Long single blasts of deep bass and racing percussion thrust you further into the void until you're far from your point of origin. 'Shelter' is a journey into the vast, ever expanding reaches of impassioned sonics ideal for deeper dance floor antics.

On the flip is 'L714' and much like 'Shelter' it's a cosmic ride, but differs in the fact that it is exceedingly relentless. Eery string like tones and massive low end bursts set the stage for a narcotic, swirling lead that parallels a comet hurtling through the ether. Bits of it falling apart and leaving a visible tail of particles in it's wake creating the ideal flip to 'Shelter'. Where both originals may have left something to be desired for those who want it heavy, Stephan Hinz fills that void. While staying undeniably true to the original 'L714', he adds only what he felt was missing. Taking the original to new heights with colossal drums and tension displayed with the arrangement of a cinematic masterpiece derived from another world. Overall, the 'Shelter Ep' is a complete package, hitting all emotions and leaving nothing to be desired no matter the time or situation.

In the midst of ‘a journey into the electronic music universe’, Fancy Inc declare their own version of New Year’s resolution, the Brazilians kick-starting Clarisse’s 2016 campaign to follow a blockbuster 12 months for all concerned.

The green and gold pair of Dub Fragments and Matheus R made 2015 a stellar year with an appearance at the Amsterdam Dance Event, in addition to making continental advantage count in Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires, holding it down in the Dominican Republic, and having rustled up rapports on labels such as King Street Sounds, La Musique Fantastique and Go Deeva.

South American steel comes with a hunger to leave dancefloors heaving, done with a particular old skool aesthetic where marching basslines leave feet blistered, and tech-plated beats are set to chug with the grip of a bear hug. Just off confrontational with its funkiness fully flexed, ‘That Records’ is the one Fancy Inc want on everyone’s lips and decks. Bristling with energy, bumping a churning bottom end (if any older heads remember Coldcut’s ‘Work Me Trak’, you’re in the right era), and razor sharp with its climactic builds, patrolling chords and explosive breakdown, the vibe demands a hard sweat that leaks into ‘Down to This’.

Tooled with a second pressuring of bass in no mood to politely wait its turn, and a vocal sample that does loving sentiment the hard way, Fancy Inc’s go-hard-or-go-home route fills ‘Down to This’ with drum rolls and a fistful of chords on uncompromising back up. Both tracks guarantee you’ll never get the idea of ‘fancy’ twisted again.

Carlos Sanchez, Sizeup and Monoky & Luis Miranda assemble for the second instalment of Hottrax’s Paradise series. 

Following on from the first ‘Paradise’ release featuring POPOF, Rafa Barrios and Kiki, not to mention Paradise Ibiza founder and Hottrax label boss Jamie Jones, the label’s second outing will feature three more quality cuts. 

Up first is Lowwax founder Carlos Sanchez, who’s known for releasing on labels like Roush, Home Invasion and Blind Vision. From the off, ‘Rigmarole’ is an intricate number designed for wonky dancefloors at their peak courtesy of its meandering bassline, rattling percussion and distorted vocals. 

Hot Creations and Material artist Sizeup is next with a swinging slice of house music entitled ‘Calypso’ which comes complete with thudding kicks and rising synths, as well as a cacophony of rims and atmospheric pops. Tying it all together, Monoky & Luis Miranda team up again for ‘Leggo’ which marches forward using shuffling hats, murky stabs and various subtle effects.
