Very excited to present today the first edition of our 5 for 15 mix series! As the name suggestions, over the next few weeks we’re going to be featuring a host of up and coming talent, 5 artists to be exact, which we feel are set for big things in 2015. The series will featuring rising talent from the likes of Get Physical, Steyoyoke & Poker Flat. However, up first are an Italian duo, brothers in fact, who’ve being making waves in recent months. The pair have won the plaudits of legend Hector Couto, who’s labelled them as the next generation of House Music (and also signed them to his new imprint Roush) and next week they will be dropping a killer new EP on Red Lunar Records, a new UK label, which has set about delivering only the finest in warehouse-ready House cuts. With a splendid one hour mix of upfront groovers and a tidy little interview to boot, meet the Di Chiara Brothers!

Delighted to present episode fifteen of our podcast this week and this one’s a real Christmas treat. After a superb encounter with Systematic’s Greg Gow two weeks ago, we kick on with an uber-talented artist, who has been one of our standout producers this year. He’s a Frenchman (following in the footsteps of Nico Masseyeff) and he’s long been championed by tech legend Laurent Garnier and our very own Ian O’Donovan. He is of course, Xavier Januario, better known to you and I as Oniris. With releases on Flow Vinyl, Herzblut and, most recently Detroit’s KMS this year, he’s laid down a huge marker for 2015. We’re honoured to have him on WWD 015. Enjoy!

WWD018 welcomes two of Italy's finest! Supernova have been rocking dance-floors across the world since 2003. Emiliano and Giacomo have graced renowned record labels like Noir Music and Defected Records, while building their own burgeoning imprint Lapsus Music. The label has provided a home to standout house and tech talents like Raffa FL, The Glitz, Newbie Nerdz, and Kaily, as well as also acting as a platform to share their own killer productions. The pair, now well into their second decade as a duo, can truly be described as artists in their prime. We caught up with them this week to find out all about their recent trials, their intricate live-set up, a new album and that which is to come on Lapsus.

Christian Nielsen is a producer with 2015 in the palm of his hand. The Dane closed out 2014 with fan and dj favourite ''Do You Mind' and kept form launching 2015 with a quality EP on Nick Curly and Gorge's renowned 8bit Recordings. With releases forthcoming on Noir Music, Moon Harbour, Lapsus Music and more, you can be sure his reputation is only set to grow in the coming months. We caught up with him this week to find out all about the rise, his music schedule and upcoming appearance at Watergate. He's also provided a little gift for WWD readers, a splendid 60 minute mix of all things house & tech. Enjoy!

To mark another special chapter in its journey, Melodic Therapy proudly presents a collaborative EP that celebrates powerful and visionary encounters. Elysium is the latest release from Brazilian artist Curol, who joins forces in the studio with three producers from different backgrounds and musical paths: Dimitri Nakov, Tolex, and RUSKAR. Bringing together distinct strengths and identities, the EP features two intense tracks that reflect the diversity and depth of the contemporary electronic scene.

Curol is currently one of the most respected Brazilian artists on the international circuit. Her impressive career includes performances at major festivals such as Rock in Rio, Zamna Tulum, DGTL Amsterdam, Lima and Santiago, as well as Tomorrowland Brazil and Belgium. Her music transcends borders and connects cultures, consistently reaching top positions on the Beatport and Traxsource charts, and earning support from icons such as Black Coffee, Lee Burridge, and the Keinemusik collective.

The title track 'Elysium' is an epic Progressive House journey, created in collaboration with the legendary Dimitri Nakov — known for his 15 years touring alongside Sasha and his work with Bedrock, All Day I Dream, and artists like Björk and The Chemical Brothers — and rising Brazilian talent Tolex, who has received continued support from names such as Adriatique, Vintage Culture, Gordo, and Innellea. The track blends driving percussion, a cinematic atmosphere, and a drop of pure catharsis — crafted to leave a lasting impact on dancefloors worldwide.

Following this, the track 'Retail' takes on a more organic and ancestral approach, the result of a collaboration between Curol and Brazilian producer RUSKAR, a prominent name in the Afro House scene with releases on labels such as Sol Selectas, IZIKI, and Midnight Riders. Inspired by indigenous rhythms and spirituality, the collaboration fuses mystical percussion, dense sonic landscapes, and a rhythmic sensibility that pulses with ancestry and transformation.

This release represents not only a meeting of artists from different generations and origins, but also a statement from Melodic Therapy on the power of collaboration, inner listening, and music as a universal force of connection. Two sides of the same sonic soul — between the euphoria of the dancefloor and the introspection of ritual.
