Ukrainian DJ and Producer Nōpi returns to Anjunadeep with his four-track ‘Gray Cloud EP’. With releases on All Day I Dream, Kindisch and Replug under his belt, Nōpi has seen support from Eelkle Kleijn, Marsh and David Hohme. 

First heard on Anjunadeep 12, Nōpi opens the EP with ‘Gray Cloud’ featuring an emotive string melody. ‘Aquiral’, also featured on Anjunadeep 12, leads with evolving vocals whilst ‘Voyager Sur Les Vagues’ favours percussive-laden grooves. Rounding off the EP is ‘Gotcha’, showcasing Nōpi’s flair for deep and melodic house.

The ‘Prospect EP’ is three-track collaboration between the acclaimed Nox Vahn (fka Fairchild), and British-born rising talent Marsh.

Opening with distant wildlife sounds, an unassuming intro gives way to colossal pitch-bending synths in ‘Prospect’. ‘Follow Me’ sees the pair collaborate with American singer-producer Mimi Page to deliver a dream-like arrangement, whilst ‘Serena’s Garden’ (as heard on Anjunadeep 10) concludes the EP with ghostly vocals atop a backdrop of field-recordings.

'Antrim’s Or Two Strangers begins the new year by welcoming Analog Jungs back to the label for a new EP. 2019 saw the Cordoba duo deliver their well received ‘Universe / Particle’ EP for the label, while also showcasing their music on Balkan Connection, Beat Boutique, Droid9 and Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden. Alsoa favourite of progressive house tastemaker Hernan Cattaneo, Analog Jungs now return to their comfortable of Or Two Strangers with ‘Liria’ alongside a remix from Kamilo Sanclemente& Mauro Aguirre.

Beginning with the title track ‘Liria’ Analog Jungs explore the deeper spectrum of progressive minded house. Its warm, full bodied groove is perfectly sculpted, flowing through emotive chord changes while finely tuned percussion and joyous arps add a buoyant flair. Rising atmospheres elevate mood as the main break commences, with creamy tones adding to the melodic narrative. Eventually melting down to an iridescent glow of colour and texture, the near two minute centrepiece might be the most impassioned moment of Analog Jungs career. Sure to capture the heart of your dance floor before perfectly shifting energy into a driving finale. The companion piece ‘Ocean’ continues the warm, inviting ethos of the EP with a robust, rolling groove, lively rhythms and waves of fiery percussion. Mysterious yet musical, it’s timely shades and tones create stirring moments, before giving way to clustered melodic concepts leading into the break. Expansive once again, the interlude is a story within the story, cinematic and heartwarming in equal measure, building subtly as waves of drums converge for an exhilarating apex and massive drop.

The lone interpretation of ‘Liria’ is provided by Kamilo Sanclemente& Mauro Aguirre. The Colombian duo provided progressive music fans with memorable moments in the second half of 2019, with releases on Nick Warren’s Hope Recordings and Proton Music, while also contributing to Clubsonica’s ‘MMW Sampler’ in 2018. Now coming together for the first time in 2020, Kamilo and Mauro round out the release with a stunning interpretation of ‘Liria’. Tough and driving, the groove commands a large presence as melodic fragments and astral effects adorn the framework. Evolving with a veteran’s savvy, timely drops and tasteful modulation provide a rising wave of tension, as piercing stabs continue to push momentum forward. Spanning almost three minutes in length the main break is a journey into redolent melodies, haunting atmospheres and ghostly wails, all perfectly intertwined and setting the stage for a euphoric finale. An inspired remix from the Kamilo and Mauro which rounds out a welcome return to Or Two Strangers for Analog Jungs, a duo who continue to operate at a creative peak.'

The latest release from German wunderkind Ben Böhmer. Following a pair of ‘Black Hole’ remix cuts, the original one of many memorable moments from his acclaimed 2019 ‘Breathing’ LP, album opener ‘In Memoriam’ now receives the rework treatment courtesy of seasoned UK producer Tim Green.

Having released on All Day I Dream, Cocoon and Get Physical, we warmly welcome Tim into the fold and mark his Anjunadeep debut with a fresh take on Ben’s emotive tribute ‘In Memoriam’. Retaining the key harmonic elements of the original track, Tim’s groove-heavy remix demonstrates why he’s been supported by some of the biggest DJs in his field including Sven Vath, Kölsch, Sasha and Pete Tong.
