Day 5! Inspired by the first really contemporary classical piece I ever wrote (which was a weird attempt at a minimalist thing that ended up not actually very minimalist at all haha) and done in 7/8.  Could probably use expansion?

Day 7!  In sort of a nature-theme during the summer, we have something on the colder side... I wanted to try something more ambient with things a bit out of time.  Also, is inspired by the FFXIV Snowcloak theme.

Day 1 of the #7DaysofVGM challenge. Short due to lack of time today, but with many ideas for expansion.  Also, definitely inspired by Chrono Trigger...

November 2020 Day 1 - Prelude

Day 2 of the #7DaysofVGM challenge! Did a low-key starter town JRPG track; struggled a bit with patches because I wanted to use an acoustic guitar for the backing and a solo oboe for the melody. Will probably record acoustic guitar and harp for this when working on it later!

November 2020 Day 2 - Small Town

Unicorn!  A very classic, mystic encounter with a unicorn in a forest grove, perhaps.  Slightly late due to technical issues.  

I saw the prompt and immediately went "Hey, I play an instrument that is perfect for this!"  The harp track is recorded live and completely improvised in Gb Major; added some midi strings, a synth, and some bird sounds.  I am gradually getting to know Ableton better!

December 2020 Day 1 - Unicorn

Yeti!  The inspiration was mostly the percussive element; I tend to lean towards strings, so more strings it was.  I wanted to add more sound design/effects/find a better woodwind patch, but for now here's a setup idea.

Fairy!  So this is definitely one of the quirkier things I've written (but not the weirdest!)  I wanted to go for fairies that were mischievous and playful but also absolutely the type of fae that would turn you permanently into a shrubbery if you angered them... lots of weird dissonance, a beat with bass, and all of it in a waltz sort of feel.
