Roads 

Roads was written way back in 2016, and production on it was put on hold while the band went on hiatus. In 2020 the band reformed and begun work on Roads and other tunes to kickstart the band once more. The pandemic hit, and we were forced to record the whole track remotely from each others homes respectively. After many weeks of work, the track was completed along with an instrumental titled Spring Round the Well. This track hopes to propel Whinlatter onto the British Folk scene.

Spring Round the Well 

Along with Roads we also bring you an instrumental B-side titled Spring Round the Well. This track came about over a couple of beers and was recorded on the spot pretty much as we wrote it. All in all it took about half an hour. The title comes from the collaboration of two ideas that the song conjured up. For Kersey, he imagined a well in the country side - a stereo-typical folky image, and very fitting for the track. For Sawyer, the track contained elements of hope and beauty (in stark contrast to the darkness and harshness of Roads) that is felt as the season transitions from the cold darkness of winter into those warm and sunny Spring mornings.

Whinlatter - The Lost Demos.

As voted for by our fans, we are releasing some old and new demos for some of our tunes. The Demos date between 2015 and 2019 and these tracks vary in quality and were not intended for public consumption initially. However, during this time of isolation we're very happy to share some old memories and some new workings with you all. 

Some might say, 'the boys are back in town'...
