You would be hard pressed to find an artist who has contributed to electronic music as much as our special guest  Vinyl collector show. A talented, Dj & producer from the frozen north Jori Hulkkonen. Hailing from northern Finland. And Releasing records on his own Small independent label Lumi back in the early 90s, as well as other imprints.But it is his works on Lauren Garner record label’ F communications that we know his body of work for. And can only be described as....for the night for the deep.

In this day and age when high gloss and gimmicks take the place of style and inventiveness, it is a pleasure to hear an artist like Whipd Beats. On this album the listener is treated to a tasteful mixing of a variety of genres fused together. There is a wonderful and exciting sound of spontaneity that distinguishes each track with a uniqueness and an individuality all of its own. Where there is a requirement for artists to become a narrow specialist, Whipd Beats has retained a freedom that defies categorization. Listeners will immediately appraise the great variety of styles and interpretation with which Whipd Beats interprets her tracks.

You can expect the unexpected on this album! It is filled with paradoxes just like the creator. On side “A “ is a collection of ambient jazz, soulful gospel blues, chill out downtempo electronica, a soulful vocal ballad, and a fusion of hip hop with tango. Like a painter who uses colour knowingly Whipd Beats is a weaver of moods that are softly textured, with richness, warmth, depth, and soul.

On side “B” Whipd Beats creates a voluptuous sound for dance floors that is full of rhythmic freedom and melodic spontaneity. She ventures down uncovered pathways, fusing different genres together, and trying a variety of approaches to get to the essence of the music and tell her story. This is a collection of afro disco house, tribal tech, progressive jazzy house, and progressive tech house. There is an open-mindedness and an unorthodox acoustic approach allowing Whipd Beats to escape the usual conventionalities and create music that is electric and fresh.

Between these two very different tempos lies the personality of the artist, a sensitivity that listeners want, a careful choice of instruments, and a flawless interpretation that will linger hauntingly in the listeners memory for a long time to come. Both are valid, both are potent. The variety of sounds could have become an obstacle to this album but instead the bold versatility sets it apart from the rest. The alternation between tenderness and punch, exuberance and restraint, experimental and serene. In the end it is the musician who determines the path of their music bringing their own individual stamp to their legacy.

Graeme Park (UK) 
Graeme is the story of the evolution of dance music and club culture itself. Graeme found himself working in a Nottingham record shop called Selectadisc in the early 1980s, when the very first house records began to filter through from Chicago, Detroit and New York. When the shop’s owner opened a nightclub, it was only natural he should turn to Graeme to select the discs. Determined to showcase this new style of music, his reputation as a house pioneer soon brought him to the attention of Mike Pickering at The Haçienda in Manchester, who asked him to cover for him while he went on holiday in 1988. Simply put, there was no-one else in the country who could do the job. The Summer of Love followed, and Parky quickly became one of the biggest names on the emerging dance scene. Aside from his nine year residency at The Haç, he was one of the first British DJs to play places like Australia, South America, the USA, Asia and beyond as well as producing and remixing tracks for the dancefloor, including The Brand New Heavies, Inner City, Eric B & Rakim, New Order, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and others. Whipd Beats is a music producer, composer, and song writer from Perth, Australia. In a day and age when high gloss and gimmicks take the place of style and inventiveness Whipd Beats has an open-mindedness and an unorthodox acoustic approach that escapes the usual conventionalities to create music that is electric and fresh. She has been composing, arranging, and producing music since 2008.

In 2018 her Afro-House track "Joie de Vivre" was signed to Italian House label Stereophonic Record and secured a spot at number nineteen on the Traxsource Essential Afro-House Charts. Since then she has bee working on creating a body of work that is a reflection of her passion for House music and its sub-genres. It has taken two and a half years to see the completion of her debut album "Eclectic, released on July 16th, 2021. 

Whipd Beats is unafraid to push the boundaries, when it comes to creativity, she ventures down uncovered pathways, fusing different genres together and trying a variety of approaches to get to the essence of the music and tell her story.  Her album "Eclectic" is full of paradoxes just like its creator! Whipd Beats is a painter who uses colour, weaving moods that are softly textured, with richness, warmth, depth, and soul in her soulful, ambient, jazzy tracks. Her dance tracks are filled with a voluptuous energy guaranteed to move feet on dance floors. Between these two very different tempos lies the personality of the artist, there is a sensitivity that listeners want, and a flawless interpretation that will linger on for a long time to come. DJ Mag Spain gave the album a stellar review in their July 2021 issue.

Whipd Beats music has been used in Art-House films in Perth, Australia. It has also caught the ears of GOGO label owner and DJ Ralf Gum who said 'he loved it'!
