Recordng from a rehearsal of the new song WILDFIRE without the wind section, though with a new member: Erik Boman on bass clarinet and effects.

Whirl Orchestra is a band from Gothenburg quivering music scene , whose music wear sounds form pop, jazz and folkmusic.
Strict arrangements meet free improvisation ; chaos meets shimmering harmonic soundscapes with a large sound embraced by smooth yet powerful lyrics.

The band has influences from bands such as Wildhart, Beirut, Florence and the Machine , Bjork, Feist and Jaga Jazzist;  among others.

The group began playing early winter 2013 as a project of vocalist Matilda Andersson and then progressed quickly into a collective creative group that has since then developed a special sound.
  Within the band are musicians with several influences and backgrounds such as jazz, rock, pop and classical music.
In this vast machinery of eight musicians combining a popsection with classical percussion and voluminous horn section; electronics meets acoustics in a universe of sounds lifting the ceiling .

Whirl Orchestra är ett band ursprunget ur Göteborgs skälvande musikliv, vars musik rör sig mellan storslagen pop och soundscapejazz. 
Strikta arrangemang möter fri improvisation; kaos möter skimrande harmoniska ljudlandskap.
Bandet har liknats vid artister som Beirut, Florence and the machine, Björk och Jaga Jazzist.

Gruppen började spela tidig vinter 2013 som ett projekt av vokalisten Matilda Andersson och fortskred snabbt till en kollektivt skapande grupp som sedan dess utvecklat ett säreget sound.
Inom bandet finns musiker med olika influenser och bakgrund men alla med förankring i improvisationsmusiken.
I detta stora maskineri blandas klassiskt slagverk med volumiös blåssektion. Elektronik möter akustik i ett nytt universum som lyfter tak. 

W.O. håller på att lägga i ordning hemsidor och planerar i nuläget för turné och för inspelning.
