Part I : Ruins of Montsegur

I walk among the ruins of Montsegur as the sun dies
It’s the sixteenth of march and tonight the stones won’t lie
Witnesses of a tragedy
Whispers of the past, I listen to their history

Part II : Good men

They were called the “Perfecti”
Followers of a doctrine of duality and difference
A spark of divine light trapped inside each of us
In a garment of flesh


“Kill them all and the Lord will recognize his own”
The seeds of intolerance were sown


They called themselves the good men
Abjured their material life to reach soul’s purity
Condemned the pragmatism of the church
Its wealth and abuses

No more flowers blooming in the field, all torn away
Swept by the flames of Inquisition
And the prayers to conjure this heresy
The swirl of ashes high in the sky
As they were dispersed in this quiet occitan's night
But the stones on Montsegur couldn’t cry

From the dark land, to the fields of light,
They led the good men.
Respect for all life on this earth.
But the Vatican didn’t tolerate the difference!

Part V : Throughout history

They were waiting in the field of Montsegur, it was the night
As a conclusion of a century of fights
And decades of persecutions
Children, men and women ain’t fallen into oblivion

Their history resound in the halls of time
Two hundred souls entered their realm of light

As i’m leaving the ruins of Montsegur, i’m looking back
To see the rain drawing tears on twilight

Ashes in the field - Ad Abolendam Chapter I

The art of combining music and literature. Whispering Tales is a journey in which the music is the soundtrack and where the words tell us the story. Telling tales, at the sound of orchestral rock metal melodies, is the foundations of the band. "Echoes Of Perversion" was the first opus. The nine songs illustrated the short story dark fantasy "Les reflets de la perversion". This is the starting point of an exciting journey. Then “Ad Abolendam” immersed the listener into the dark hours of the inquisition, revealing, over thirty minutes of epic music, three terrible tragedies that have marked our history. The first chapter of an ambitious trilogy, "Mechanism", and the novel that accompanies it, "Pièce manquante ", revealed a retro-futuristic universe that has its roots in the Marseilles of the 1920s, fantasized and mysterious. More than a simple album, "Mechanism" gives life and voice to the characters of the novel, like the soundtrack of a movie, in which, chapter after chapter, many leitmotivs intertwine to stage and narrate their adventures. Whispering Tales performs on stage to share their stories. The costumes and musical atmosphere are designed to enwrap the spectators in their albums concepts. “A Matter Of Time”, the second chapter of the trilogy, has just been released. Get ready ! It's only... a matter of time!
