WRDO returns to Almost Like We Met following last year's full-length with a new two-tracker that's already been stirring up attention. The title cut 'GrooveDrug' is a left-field floor weapon built on a rubbery bassline, twisted vocal chops, and synths that bend and stretch into a warped peak before collapsing in all the right ways. It's unpredictable, heavy, and built for late-night chaos. On the flip, 'Sweet Flavor' shows WRDO's playful side. It's melodic, strange, and full of color like wandering into an ice cream cart stacked with endless choices. The track layers off-kilter grooves with a sense of storytelling that doesn't need words to pull you in. WRDO has become a cornerstone of our catalog at Almost Like We Met, and GrooveDrug is another reminder of why his sound keeps DJs and dancers locked in.

For the 8th instalment of our mix series we welcome our first overseas artist Nic Zega. Nic has released on a number of well-established labels such as Libero, Habitat and Unamed&Unknown. 

Nic also has an upcoming collab DJ Entwan, Nic Zega – The Beat Goes On which will be released soon on Distance Music, and has also been working on a special collab EP with the Italian duo mrT & SimoV.  Nic's recent release “Rockability” with Andrei C on Habla Music has received support from the likes of Lexlay, Tomi&kesh and Juan(AR).

This weeks mix continues with our rolling percussive sound including tracks from the likes of Tomi&Kesh, Alessio Bianchi, Gustaff and Max Chapman, alongside some unreleased music from Nic himself.
