Soprano Whit Rosh (formerly Leigh Whitney Tomlinson), a native of Florida, has always had a passion for the arts. Their interest in music started in grade school, performing in both the band and chorus and receiving awards for All-County and All-State competitions. Whit received both their Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Florida State University, graduating in April of 2011. While at Florida State they studied under mezzo-soprano Dr. Wanda Brister. During those six years, Whit performed a variety of different roles with Florida State Opera, including Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) and Atalanta (Xerxes) on the main stage. Whit also enjoyed performing for Elementary and Middle schools around Tallahassee with the FSU Opera Outreach program, bringing to life the roles of Adina (The Elixir of Love) and The First Lady (The Magic Flute).

Upon graduation, Whit moved to Houston, TX to continue studying voice privately with mezzo-soprano Melanie Sonnenberg. While in Houston, they participated in the Texas Music Festival’s Le Chiavi di Bel Canto and performed with the Houston Grand Opera Chorus for seven seasons from 2011 to 2017. They sang regularly as a soloist at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church and St. Philip Presbyterian Church, and taught private voice lessons with the Allegro Pearland Academy of Music, Bay Area Theater and Voice Academy in League City, TX and Popstars Performers in Friendswood, TX. In February 2013, Whit competed in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Southeastern Regional Auditions after winning the Florida District the previous month and performed in Florida Opera Theater's Opera in the Park series as a features soloist.

Whit has most recently performed with Opera in the Heights 2017 performance of Little Women as Amy March. Whit now resides in Seattle, WA with their three grey cats and Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog.
