Coming up out of Forked River, NJ, this local artist White or White-T, is a raw, intricate lyricist with a wide range of influences. Though very natural, his background of music derives from rock to rap, and as well as other similar Hip-Hop native sounds. White's influences varied from the time he was 9 years old, when he initially began to understand the messages some of these artists had talked about in their careers. To relate is all he could do. And to write his own story, along with just putting things together in charismatic ways was rather therapeutic it seemed. The art of writing and structuring songs in his preteen and early teenage years of writing rhymes and poems, to his late teenage years in punk rock bands where he had played drums for roughly seven years. Than too, picked up more traits and later realized he wanted to no longer pursue anything but rap. And so, through a short time with early groups such as; (W)reckless, Underdogs, collaborations and launching a promotion/distribution label, known as Totem Records, with an old friend in 2013. White, later decided to take a different route and left the label in 2014. Since then, he's been working on a project titled, Sin Today, Die Tomorrow. It targets everything from childhood to the shoes he currently walks in. Rap has grown to be more then just an outlet though. It saved his life. The Forked River native strongly felt this was his strongest, yet sanctum grounds. With metaphors, dark lyrics, similes, endless ideas, the poetry. It in all including the dictionary became his weapon of choice. Through the battle of drugs, shifted relationships, isolation and struggles behind closed doors at home. This all was something he heard and seen around him growing up and escalating to different levels in today's day and age as well. The goal is to be the voice for a crowd, that cannot speak up. And so growing up, evolving through rap, rock, punk and hip hop crafts his skills to a higher vantage point when brought to the table.
