Freedom

Once returning to New York City after a 12-year stint in the U.S. Air Force, Mike Bello attended and earned a certification in multi-track recording technology at the Institute of Audio Research and immediately worked at Quad Recording Studios in Manhattan, NY. Already a DJ, he became a member of S.U.R.E. Record Pool and co-produced a couple of dance tracks at their in-house studio.  
Life changes happened and while producing for the hip-hop group, Lords of Flava, Mike also was a digital editor on several dozen books on tape (Batman Returns, Black Beauty, The Babysitters Club, and others) at his home studio in Jersey City, NJ.  
Fast forward to a move to Los Angeles, CA where his life makes another turn and starts a career in the Salsa/Mambo industry as a dance instructor and ultimately becomes the preeminent educator of salsa rhythms for dancers teaching workshops and seminars at Salsa Congresses across the nation.  
More than a decade later, another change where Mike is just a “civilian” again for nearly a decade. Then…Covid-19 strikes and we’re all in lockdown. Mike then turns to music again and the result is dozens of dance tracks and releases his first album, @The Lockdown Trax, as @White Beard Bello.
